Do you remember how we would stop at THE STUFFED BUN for breakfast sometimes before school. So much fun ! I know it had your favorite pancakes and eggs with bacon . You two loved having poppy with us at breakfast sometimes ! This is Eli and poppy at the stuffed bun wine he FIRST STARTED GOING TO SCHOOL. IT WAS ONE OF OUR FIRST BEFORE SCHOOL BREAKFASTS… you and poppy at the bun!

We went there this morning and all we could do is think about you guys and those fun mornings. Hope you had s great Sunday and making new breakfast memories and have a favorite spot to stop for favorite foods or treats or fun on a Sunday !

Dear Guillianna and Elijah –

This was the first game Guillianna ever went to ….

And this is the last one we all went to with uncle Nick and aunt Liz and Aunt Kiki ! LOOK HOW HAPPY !

Today was one of the nurses who works with Poppy birthday. Your momma knew him when she was small. For his 50th birthday we went to the baseball game. Remember bringing the two of you here and riding on the baseball Ferris wheel. So much fun.

We love you so much. Hope you are having a great day and that tomorrow is a fun Sunday for you.

Not a Bash day after all …

Normally Sebastian would be here today and I had said in my previous letter was going to post some photos for you to see. However – Uncle Nick was off work today and I had to take Grandma Sally to a doctor appointment. She is doing good. Misses you both so much. So does Aunt Liz Uncle Nick and Bash ! Actually all of your Michigan family does.

A few weeks ago Aunt Kiki dropped off just a few very special items mom and dad didn’t pack when you guys left she told you she was on her way to visit us. Here is a photo of some of us above one day when she visited we aren’t all in the photo … so I posted one of Uncle Nick and family below . Just so you can see some faces –

I hope your week ended with smiles and school was good. Maybe you have special plans for the weekend to look forward to. We are hopeful we will talk to you one day soon and until then we send our love to you. I wonder how many teeth Eli has lost ? And I wonder if Guillianna is ever watching kids baking championships anymore.

We had lots of fun baking all of us didn’t we? Maybe I will put up some fun pics of the things we baked sometime. Hope you have good dreams and wake up on Saturday with fun on your schedule. Love you both to the moon and back.

SO MANY GOOD TIMES …

Today is Thursday and youre likely looking forward to the weekend. Hope you are doing great and that these new pics bring a smile to your faces. We love you so much and hope you had a great Thursday!

This site was originally written when Guillilanna was born. During her parents deployment and training, we would keep Guillianna in the Mitten. Then Elijah was born and he too was a frequent flyer to the Mitten. They lived with us on and off for nine years. Over the last deployment to Korea and during the past three years where in the kids lived with us for three consecutive years, the internet and this site was not really used to communicate with their parents, FACETIME was quick and easy. Their dad recently got out of the Army and they were relocated. We have not seen or talked with Eli or Guillianna for months. Last we saw them on FaceTime was May 2018. Last we held them December 2017, just after Christmas. Yet the reality is THIS IS NOT ABOUT just OUR BROKEN HEARTS- it is about theirs, ours and our entire family! for these kids who are so small and innocent, they have had a major change in thier lives. It is our hope that the journaling of our time together, and the and the new love letters for them will one day allow them to truly know the depth of love we ALL here in the Mitten have for them.

This site is also a special gift for our daughter, it documents all kinds of small details and images for her to keep, love and enjoy! These memories encompass nine and six years of the lives of her children! A true gift, that one day she may actually appreciate and have gratitude for. She doesn’t think of us as her parents at present, but maybe in the future, she will sit and reflect on all these memories, maybe she will see the love and dedication that she herself was given because of our love for her. If not, this journal, can hopefully one day allow Guillianna and Elijah to see and feel the truth, the love, and they will realize the amazing impact they have had on all of us here in the Mitten, and they will feel the love of all those who they spent their lives with, before embarking on the new journey they have begun. Friends, family alike have shared in nearly a decade of thier lives and all wish for the family to be happy. If it is a parents right and philosophy to “cut people out of your life like a kindergartener cuts out paper snowflakes” and raise their children to feel the same, this new set of love letters are written with the hope that in time the innocent will feel the love they HAVE always had, and the love they can ALWAYS carry it with them.
