Four month old Pediatrician Visit…

PUTTIN ON MY SERIOUS FACE FOR THIS LOVE LETTER....

Dear Mom and Dad,

Thank you for taking me to the pediatrician today.  I bet you were happy to know how well I am doing.  I now weigh 12 pounds and 15 ounces.   I am 24 inches long…. I have tripled my birth weight and as you heard the pediatrician says I am doing great.

Look into my blue eyes....

Since I am sick with this wacky hacky thingy majiggy…. I didn’t have to get any shots today, which is good, but I do go back in April for them after I am better…  I will be having more tummy medicine, three times each day, and staying on the formula that they put me on last time… but all in all, they are pleased with my princess progress.

MY MOMMY AND MY DADDY LOVE ME...

Poppy bought me a humidifier for the room tonight to help me sleep without coughing… and I want to say ‘thank you Poppy’ for making me breathe easier…Nana says thank you too.

Tomorrow is a big day, we have a special family dinner with GG-ma and Papa.   She has been making homemade soup and other goodies, and everyone is very excited.   Aunt Arrianna especially loves this dinner at GG-ma’s because some of the traditional foods are her favorite.   Nana needs some chicken soup too, but may not be able to go if her cold gets worse…. she doensn’t want to make everyone sick!  And she needs to get better before SUNDAY, MY PRINCESS PARTY…. ahhhh, I guess we will see what tomorrow brings!

I am hoping you know how nice it was for you to see my pediatricians office.   My regular doctor was out of town and we saw another one… Nana was a little bothered at the fact that the pediatrician was “trying to help” my mamma, to make sure she was prepared for her deployment.   She told my mom how when she comes home, I won’t know her, but not to let it bother her… well Nana almost came out of her old wrinkly skin, and LETS JUST SAY, IT WAS EVERYTHING SHE COULD DO TO CONTAIN HERSELF.    As if Mommy didn’t already feel badly enough about having to go away, and as if  my Mommy didn’t have a clue from watching other soldiers and friend be deployed…. My mom, she knows, and my parents well they hurt plenty…. and after all is said and done, my mom and dad… will raise me, and I won’t remember any of my time at Camp Nana… these letters will be my only memory of camp, and my reality will be my mom and dad.

Am I cute or what? I may need a little tweek here and there but I am your Guillianna today tomorrow and always!

Dear Mom, and Dad, I will know you, and I will surely have an adjustment when you come home to me, and the doctor is right, there are things that will be comfortable  for me here at camp, that is the way you would want it to be for me, but I AM YOUR PRINCESS, and I will always be your princess, today, tomorrow, forever…. when I am 3 –  I will be different than  I am now, when I am 8  – I will be different than when I was 3, and when I am 13… I will be completely different than when I was 8.  I will always be changing, and you will both change too, but we WILL CHANGE TOGETHER, AND WE WILL ALWAYS BE A FAMILY.

Nana wishes she knew what the doctor was thinking, she certainly didn’t think about how sad she was making you, and if she though she was trying to prepare you, well, she clearly doesn’t know my mom… MY MOM, IS SO STRONG THAT SHE WILL NOT EVER LET ANYTHING GET IN THE WAY OF MAKING HER OWN DAUGHTERS DREAMS COME TRUE, AND SHE WILL ALWAYS PUT ME AND OUR FUTURE FIRST…  that is who my mom is… A STRONG AND VERY SMART PERSON, who will be prepared for what ever life brings her direction.    If I am a princess, then my mommy is the queen of perserverence.

Great Aunt Pam and I....

I heard everyone talking earlier tonight, and Aunt Arri said the cutest thing… she was getting my “passy” for me, while I was sitting in my swing, and she was putting my blanket just right…. when Great Aunt Pam said what a good Auntie she was…. AUNT ARRI, LOOKED BACK  and without missing a beat she said, “well that is what happens when you learn from the best!”   Oh how true, Great Aunt Pam brought me a Princess basket tonight filled with wonderful things to entertain me, and yes an adorable pink outfit to wear, which I am beginning to realize more and more each day, you can just never have enough “pink wear” .

I am tucked into bed, freshly bathed, and with my humidifier mist helping me to cough less, I am hopefully going to wake up feeling better in the morning… until then, I love you mom and dad, and know one thing is for certain, we will make this work…. it is what we do,  we are a family who when faced with adversity, we excel.   Mommy has proven to everyone, when she puts her mind to do something she can accomplish anything and I have no doubt, my mom will make sure she dad and I are always together…….

Mom and Dad will take me to ballet or soccer if I want... they will finish their work and they will come home to me!

Love always,  Little Miss Adorable, YOUR DAUGHTER, Guillianna!
