Dear Mom and Dad,

So today was a bit crazy at camp… one of my zoo co campers has been acting weird for a few weeks. Lady Liberty has been quiet, and not getting up to go outside, and today she finally came out to Nana and when we let her out… then she would not come back in. She lay on the patio quivering…. and yesterday she stayed out in the rain ane would not come in. Nana tried everything to get her inside… nothing worked. We had scheduled a doctor appointment for Libby on Saturday, to check her out, (tomorrow) but we had to take her in as an emergency this morning. Uncle Nick has always been a favorite of hers, she always gets excited to see him, and sure enough after Nana bothered him, Libby saw him coming to get her to take her to the vet – she got up and wagged her tail and seemed fine. We all hopped into Nana’s car, with Lady Liberty and went to the vet… where we learned…she is fine! Well – they could not find anything wrong and ran some blood tests. But she had no fever, no lymph node swelling, no pain in her belly when they felt it, and everywhere they rubbed her, she just thought she was being pet! So…. wild goose chase, thankfully but, weird. They think she may have pain from arthritis.. so they gave us medicine for it and if she improves, they will attribute it to pain, and that the cold patio feels good on her arthritis. Hmm… told you it was weird…. but sad for Miss Libby. All of that was very early this morning… and it made for a big change in my usual routine, which I am not a fan of. I love my routine. It is true, it has taken so long for me to find one… but now that I have, I am not a fan of being rushed… and I like to take my mornings WIGGLY WAFFLE SLOW. (The Wiggles are on during breakfast here in the Mitten State… and I enjoy eating my breakfast…. very slowly and watching them.)

Nana had a doctor appointment too in the afternoon…. it was funny though because if you read my earliest love letters, the day after I arrived at camp Nana had an appointment with her doctor then…. she carried me in just weeks old, a sleepy newborn. TODAY I WALKED IN THE DOOR OF THE OFFICE AND DOWN THE HALL AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE SAW ME WALKING LIKE A BIG GIRL. I was so proud!

I switched into my bigger car seat, and actually I loved it today. I don’t like falling asleep in it… cause it is not as comfy to sleep sitting more straight up, but I loved being a big girl!

Everyone else at camp is doing good… and well they too are excited for the UPCOMING ALL HANDS PLAYING WITH GUILLIANNA WEEKEND. Do you think it is coincidental that as I have started this walking thing I am learning ‘NO’. I love going an turning on and off the television, or getting into EXPLORE MODE, yet it seems every time I turn around… Nana is giving me that WAVY INDEX FINGER THING!

Tomorrow I have a special date… GREAT GRANDMA SHARYN AND GREAT PAPA aka the ‘SNOW BIRDS’ HAVE RETURNED TO THE MITTEN STATE. They got in too late for our usual FANTABULOUS FRIDAY but instead we are doing what I will now call a super spec – tac – u – riffic Saturday instead. At least part of camp is. Poppy works late on Saturday’s and there a few other campers who cannot attend… but those who may not be at dinner plan to meet up with Great Papa and GG-ma somehow on Sunday too. The weekends go by quickly around here… and the campers well they just cannot get enough of the Guge-meister! Who can blame them!

In case you are wondering, I am still not much on sleeping and have not sprouted any new teeth. My shot experience is over, and I was fine the next day. I am brushing my teeth well, being good, and most of all I am bringing happiness and joy to just about every one I see. Today, I went to the grocery. I sat in the shopping cart like a big girl. My first time. Usually I had been in the car seat and laying back. THIS WAS AWESOME. I said HI TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON WE PASSED! I am VERY SOCIAL. I say hello to the poeple in the parking lot, every one working and everyone shopping! EVERY PERSON, and to be frank… when someone doesn’t expect me to say hi, and maybe doesn’t hear me… I AM QUITE SHOCKED that they don’t say hi back and acknowledge that I am the Princess…. so I say it again… Even louder. Really shopping with me today was so fun… and clearly I lived up to my name LITTLE MISS ADORABLE!

Hope you are staying safe in the Land of Sand, and that you both remember, I am as always your Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Guillianna!

  1. Dear Guillianna–

GGMa and Great Papa were so happy to get back to the Mitten State and plug in our computer so that we could “catch up” on what you have been up to. We are looking forward to seeing you and the campers this weekend.

    Love to all —
