Dear Guillianna and Elijah,
So today was the day we learned the new grandchild is a little boy. They played a game where they smash hard boiled eggs that are either blue or pink, except one egg is not cooked. If it is pink it is a girl, a blue raw egg would mean its a boy. It was blue that was raw, and it got squished on Carlos 1’s head. Sometime near the end of May, or early June we will meet your new cousin.
Youve been there for the birth of all your cousins in the Mitten and we can hope you’ll be able to keep having relationships with them as time goes on. We did hear some additional great news today, Daddy has contacted Uncle Dwan! It seems possible he may let you see Gray, Elena and Cole and Aunt Allyssa and Uncle Dwan on FaceTime. So that is amazing for all of us, to know you can see at least some of the people you used to love to see and be with all the time. It has been so long, they saw you once before this and well that is seemingly not enough in a world where there is instant communication methods so accessible. We hope you and your brother will have lots of opportunities to get to know Cole, Bash and this new little one. Bash and Cole were so small when you saw them last, and it is sad to think you wont know them, and they won’t know you until you spend some time with each other as you once did . If that could be possible and hopefully you two can get to keep some relationships – that would be better than amazing. We will cross our fingers, and hope for lots of laughter and fun with opportunities to see your little cousins soon, and who knows, maybe your Nana and your Poppy too. It is a step to your being reassured that people don’t just drop out of your lives. We all are right here … just waiting for peace, and the opportunity to share in the lives of each other. Until that day comes, I will make certain to write and remind you how loved you are, as in you are both loved to the moon and back
