The Pediatrician Says – “I am GREAT!”

Hold the phone... I have something you just have to hear!

Dear Mom and Dad,

How are you today?

I went back to the pediatrician for a re-check of my ears today, and he said I am doing GREAT!  All better!   Done with antibiotics and feeling good.   I was so good for the doctor, no fussing, no tears… and best of all no more medicine, (I HATED IT) and no shots… as a matter of fact, I don’t go back until December!  I think the next time I go, you will be coming with me, how cool is that?!  So I have been listening to Nana sing… OH SAY CAN YOU SEE – aka The Star Spangled Banner since I arrived here at camp, today I found out why…  she has a thing for the flag… Uncle Nick always says she must have been hit by a patriotic stick when she was born.. but Nana says, that isn’t it, she knows nothing is perfect, no county and no one culture, no one people  Yet her and the flag have a love affair to be sure… if you remember we went out FLAGGING on July 4th, I sent you a love letter showing you… but here is something you can listen to which will make you understand why she has so much respect for the flag.   You and daddy are making such a HUGE ( or should we say Guge) sacrifice to finish your committment.  Sometimes people say to Nana, she is a bit obsessed with taking photos, and sending the love letters,   but Nana is only trying so hard  – to be sure both you and daddy feel just a bit closer to me here in Michigan while you finish  your tour in the land of sand… she is proud of you both FOR HAVING INTEGRITY to finish your contracts, and knows how hard this has been on you… so listen closely and you will hear why she is always singing to me, the ‘Oh Say’ song.

Just click on the link and you will HEAR it, there is no video, just sound.

Why do Nana and Poppy give out Flags on the FOURTH?

It was sent to her so she could share it with both of you.   No one wants to see war, no one wants you two, to have to be there, and Nana, well she isn’t making any political statements, she just knows that as soldiers…. you made a promise and that promise is not any different than the promise made by so many men and women who have made it before you. Or any promise for that matter.  Poppy made promises too, 18 years ago to Nana, and those promises made it possible for mommy to be here and their daughter, and the promises led to me being here and being your daughter.   So tonight, I thought I would tell you THANK YOU AGAIN, because I don’t think I say it often enough.   THANK YOU for making a place for me in this world, and for keeping promises, and building our future!   I promise to be your sweet adorable daughter, today, tomorrow and forever.

Now about today… well,  I played, and I danced!

Me laughing it up a bit..

Here I am dancing it up with Aunt Arrianna . Nana is going to get a video of us dancing together on Saturday or  Sunday for my love letter,  so you can see me having a blast.

After the pediatrician, I stopped by Poppy’s work, so I could go with he, Nana and some of the campers to dinner.   It was awesome and I was awesome there.  GG-ma and Great Papa met us for dinner, as it is FRIDAY here and it’s our little tradition to meet up on Friday’s.  Guess who wasn’t invited to dinner… the BEAST.   Again!  Silly Nana, we are going to have to paste that thing to your butt!   I have some extra ‘butt paste’ we could use… you would think the strap for around the neck would be sufficient, but NOOOO!   Thank goodness Poppy snapped up a few….

Poppy snapped up  a few shots with me taking dictation…

Look at me sitting at Poppy's desk....

I am a computer wiz and I had fun ….felt like I was the big cheese!

So until tomorrow Mom and Dad, please remember, I love you very much  and as always, I am your Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Snoopy tell is dictating, and I am getting it all down...

  1. Wow Princess,

Look how big you are, able to sit at the desk all by yourself! Tell Nana we appreciate every posting and it’s always good to hear about your days. I’m also very very happy to hear you’re all better, and the Doc said you’re not sick any more. I miss you and will see you very soon, so don’t worry…

    Love,

    Daddy

AWESOME audio clip! You should be very proud of the promises and sacrifices your mommy and daddy are making, obviously something they felt very strong about when they started their journey and even more proud as they continue to finish that journey. We Are — Mackenzie and Tucker, it is a long road but look what you will be able to accomplish for YOURSELF and our country. Love You
