Nana and I take a photo together! Or maybe not.

Dear Mom and Dad,

Seeing as you know Nana, and how much she hates having her picture taken… well you will be happy to know that today… is the day.   Today not only was I totally adorable for my photo shoot, we even got a shot with Nana…

She is so silly… doesn’t she know what is good for the goose is good for the gander…   if I avoided her and that black thing in my face the way she avoids it, the world would be deprived of all my cuteness!  TEAR! TEAR!  Nana says, she is doing the world, or at least those who read, a favor.  No biggie, more space for lovely me…

Today we tried to get something for the special party when you come in April.   It was a drive, but I LOVE THE CAR… and so we drove… and drove… only to not be able to get what Nana needed… but all was not lost… GREAT NEWS FOR DADDY…. while driving… we found SOMETHING DADDY WILL LOVE….

Okay, so the photo quality is not good, but, Aunt Arri took it, from Nana’s phone, through a window, looking into the sun, whilst the car was moving…. so what can I say… clearly though it is Daddy’s favorite place. Yes daddy, Michigan does have a SONIC now and it is right by the Flint Bishop Airport!   A SONIC DADDY…. A SONIC… and when you come to Michigan, you and I can have a SONIC DATE!  

Nana drove thru and got Aunt Alyx and Aunt Arri and I a quick drink, I was sleeping or I would have gotten out and had my picture taken by the SONIC sign.   Aunt Mikayla and Aunt Allyssa were not with us, so they missed out on tryng a Sonic Slushy… you will have to bring them some when you come!   Uncle Nick will be excited too…. he always said they had the best advertising…… MICHIGAN has had to listen to and watch SONIC commercials for what seems like a BIZILLION years, and NO SONIC’S IN THE STATE… now… there is one near by… well sort of near by.  

While in Flint, we were going to try to visit Great Grandma Sharyn’s sister, and her neice… but they were not home, (tear),  we will see them in a few weeks though when we all get togther for our pre-deployment visit.   Until then, I have more pictures for all to see… hope you like them…  I know we have a lot of fun taking them, basically there is Nana, taking the photo, and lets see not one, not two but three others positioning me, and holding me, and keeping kitties from stealing my photo opportunities… Today it took THREE FOUR PEOPLE TO GET THIS DONE.   But don’t you think it is well worth it… I mean look at me… I AM WAY TOO CUTE!   Keep looking there are more of me yet to come.

 I am a talker… and a sqwaker… I am getting remarkably good at adding a litle drama when I really want something… can’t wait to try it out on you mom… see if you fall for it like Nana.   I make some awesome little pittyful noises, that gets me pretty much anything I need.   Works like a charm EVERYTIME.

Good news, tomorrow is once again… ALL HANDS ON GUILLIANNA DAY!   All the Aunties, AND Nana and Poppy… waiting on ME!   It’s like music to my ears… ahhhhhh…. and if they are all here, it will most certainly mean …. sad to say, less time for Nana to sing… about everything, and anything at all… Have you ever heard someone sing about changing a diaper before… hmmm… picture this… DO YOU KNOW THE JINGLE OR TUNE THAT GOES WITH …. “do you know the muffin man- the muffin man- the muffin man… ”   Not a lot of variety in it first off… then change the words.. to Nana’s version..

‘do you have a dirty dipe? – a dirty dipe?  – a dirty dipe? do you have a dirty dipe?  Let’s change it right awaaaaaay! ‘     Really Nana, I mean really…. PLEEEEEAAASE! 

I am telling you she sings every detail of the changing of the dipee!  She IS  a walking musical….

I had a great day today, and look forward to time with my ‘peeps’ all day tomorrow… chances are lookin good that I won’t need to wait to be held, wait to be fed, and my chances are even better that none of them will sing the “do you have a dirty dipe?’ song!   Mom, maybe you should invest in a nanny cam, because I am pretty sure… Nana’s singing could constitute SOME form of child abuse….nah, just kiddin Nana… you go Nana, sing, sing, sing, sing, SING!

Hello Daddy… Hello Momma… Here I am at Camp Nana!

Dear Mom and Dad,

Today is Friday and we have all made it through another week… we should be so proud of ourselves….

I am really being so sweet and lovable for all the Michigan fam,  that you would just be tickled pink!  I get love letters back from my Mimi and Poppa in California, and from Great Papa and Grandma in Florida.   My Great Grandma’s in PA and in Washington too!  Really the computer has made this much easier on everyone I think… and I for one… am all for making things easier.  

Look at me hold up my head… I am so strong… I love tummy time.  Today I thought we might be able to catch Nana for a photo… but no such luck.   She and I hung out alone most of the day, so… no photo op presented itself Mimi, sorry.   I will keep trying.   Besides, I am so cute and adorable who needs any extras… today I had so many smiles it was hard to choose what photo should be posted, so… here are a bunch.

Yes, mom, she has me in another DRESS…. she says you and your sisters hated dresses… but she figures she can get away with this for a bit… since I don’t care so much.   I actually like being a princess!

I was talking up a storm today!  Well, mom and dad, I am happy we are a week closer to our April visit.   I had a great great day today.   I laughed, I played, and ate good.   I got a new mobile over my crib with little marrionette puppets that move and dance, and BEST OF ALL don’t keep stopping.   The lady bugs were great but they stop after every wind… this one, plays for 20 minutes and comes with a remote control… sooooo cool.   One last shot of me… a full body shot…. ready…. I hate to tell you but I am too cute for my own good…

So bath time was a splash…. it was awesome again, and I splish splashed and had a party.   Poppy got me into my jammies… and I ate like a champ.  Nothing exciting here… just fixin to go to sleep… and wanted to say I LOVE YOU BOTH VERY MUCH.   Little Miss Adorable, your daughter, Guilianna!

Pretty in Purple!

Dear Mom and Dad,

I was wiped out yesterday.   Nana laid me down last night for the last time about 12:45am, and I did not wake up until nearly 6:00 am this morning.   Can you believe it?   I was so tired last night that I didn’t even like my bath.  After the bath, I dozed here and there, and really didn’t  want to go to sleep, but when I did, boy did I sleep good.  Nana, was up though, thinking I would wake up anytime… but then worried so she got out of bed, and checked on me… ABOUT A ‘BAZILLION’ TIMES.      Aunt Arri had that same thing today at her school where she needed to go in late…. and was home early.  So we spent time together and I got to ride in the car which I still love.   No lunch with Poppy(tear).   Nana however did go to the store as I needed a few things… and she found me this awesome hat.   She said if I put it on for you it would remind you of when you wear your beret.   We are twins …. and daddy, no you cannot wear my purple flowers beret instead of your Army issued one.   I think mommy should wear mine to formation one day and see what her First Sergeant says!  

 Today Nana spoke with my case worker, for Tricare  for the first time.  The case worker said, no more problems with me seeing specialists!   She will make sure of it.  They are going to make sure I get anything I need from any specialist physician I need to see.   By the way… I noticed so many people want  to say my heart is in the wrong place ( WE ALL KNOW I ALWAYS HAVE MY HEART IN THE RIGHT PLACE!)…. Nana set them politically straight… and let them know … the Princess’ heart is on the “right” side!  It’s the right spot for MY GUILLIANNA  heart!  Which is doing great, as am I.  I am still struggling with my tummy daily, but the medicine REALLY helps, and I see the pediatrician for a weigh in next week.

P.S.  Big news… upon request check in with me tomorrow… maybe you’ll see Nana in a photo tomorrow…   but I can’t promise.  Also, tonight Great Aunt Pam came over for what has become her special Thursday night visits.  Uncle Brian has hockey and her babies are not babies anymore, so she helps out Nana and Poppy by coming over and visiting with me, and helping Nana out.  These past few weeks we have been working on craft projects that Nana comes up with… crazy silly projects that all my Aunts “dread” but when Aunt Pam comes, she makes getting everything done so much fun… THANK YOU AUNT PAM… my mom and dad will love the “craft” we made for their visit in April.   You’re awesome to not make fun of Nana for her silly ideas… xoxo Gugu Bee…

A FIELD TRIP!

Dear Mom and Dad,

Last time I saw you, we all had Sonic for lunch, and daddy told Nana, hey try a coney dog you will love it!  So today, we met Poppy for lunch at the Coney Island by his work.  Here we are, and he is just like you always said mom… HE LOVES TO SMILE.    He makes me smile, and we both sat and had lunch… 

In just a few short weeks.. I will be in daddy’s arms like this.  And Poppy says that we can all get breakfast burritos together… well some of us… rest assured though dad, I will gladly share with you the delicious and nutritious formula, and serve it up slushy style just the way you like it.   Personally I like mine warm… and soothing, but since your a fan of cold and icy… Nana could probably do that for you.

So here I am ready for nap time… kind of… Nana just wanted to snap a shot of me, and again, since I have not yet mastered sitting on my own, and she can’t take pictures and hold me, she set me down in the crib for this photo.  I love the mobile above with lady bugs… seems that I have them winding that thing over and over… but really, I could sit and watch them spinning pretty long.   And smile at them, and kick my feet and wave my arms… but when I really do nap, it is always like this, arms spread out completely on either side of me! 

Like I said, Nana’s singing… well no one will be calling and asking her to sing anytime soon, and she runs out of air before she finishes the words of the sentence… which is pretty funny.  So instead she is telling me stories giving me advice… planning my next photo shoot…AND I HAVE ONE QUESTION…  WHAT DID SHE DO BEFORE I CAME TO CAMP?   We normally stay home, but today Aunt Arrianna needed a ride to school, and our power at Camp Nana was out due to “high winds” for several hours.   So we got to go on a “field trip” and even if it was brief.. it was ESPECIALLY FUN for my “field trip” to be a lunch date… without any sign of a pediatrician, cardiologist, or technition, and it was all about – lots of being held… and adored.   

Hope you both had great days…. I know I did… It is Wednesday we are halfway through this week!  Yay! YOUR VISIT TO CAMP NANA IS GETTING CLOSER…. AND CLOSER!  Hey maybe when you are here, I can take Daddy for a chili-dog!  (and mom…since you are not that into Chili-dogs… well MAYBE WE can SHOP!  NOTE TO DAD… BE PREPARED TO SHOP, THAT IS WHAT PRINCESS’ DO  as a matter of fact I think it is in the PBR, do you know what that stands for… PRINCESS BILL OF RIGHTS,  I will make sure Nana prints you a copy!  It’s sequel is the Princess Declaration of Independence… WHICH IS A REAL DOOSEY!  Nana knows, remember, five princess’ grew up here, I am learning soooooo much, LOL)

Don’t worry about me getting “spoiled” ,Mom and Dad, because truth be told, Nana is pretty much a ‘stickler’ she is not one for wasteful shopping, and all the princess mania  (she knows you and daddy call me a princess and she will do her best to make sure I feel like one)… as a matter of fact she has lots of  “ideas” on how to raise kids… right or wrong, I bet you remember them all too well,….. you know those MOM LAWS, she used to have for you and your sisters… but she says… while Nana Laws are COMPLETELY different … and that MY Princess Laws are awesome, she will see to it that it is all in good balance!… until then…I will be soaking up love and attention, like a sponge.  I am no ARMY BRAT NOW, and Nana says, no I won’t be a ‘brat’ when you come home either…   Nana says you kids all have done so good, she figures, a few months with her and poppy will be okay till you come home!  XOXOXO
