We are heading toward spring… I think!

Hanging out in Detroit… this is good sleeping weather…. if nothing else. And I am told, that the TIGERS ARE IN SPRING TRAINING… so… I think I will jump on board that band wagon, simply because, it is rumored that with spring training, comes better weather… the kind you can play baseball in.  OUTSIDE… AND up to now… the only thing to do outside would have required ski’s,skates and or some form of de-icer..  not that I would ever have seen any of that, due to the ‘NANA LAYER sydrome’ I have been experiencing.   I mean to tell you, the term “bundle her up”… is almost frightening to me… layer after layer, after layer…hey news flash  Nana, those little dimpled things… they are my joints, they are made to bend, and move… and my little legs and arms are “bundled up” so well I look like one of the dog’s play toys… a little circle thing with appendages sticking out to carry me by.

Rainy days in Detroit...Look at my PRINCESS CHEEKS….

No need to be jealous about not being here….. look at it, it’s a blah day…

 Looking out the window...Tuesday March 10, 2009

Dear Mom and Dad,

Well today it rained. It rained more, and then… it rained more.  We are supposed to be heading towards spring,  and if the saying is true that APRIL showers bring May flowers, then I expect you may have trouble finding me through the billions of flowers that should be popping up.  And if APRIL showers bring May flowers, well… what do March showers bring besides the soupy mess in Nana’s back yard.  ITS PRETTY GROSS, so gross that I don’t even think that your army boots would do.   I HOWEVER HAVE THE PERFECT PRINCESS EQUIPMENT FOR THE JOB… and once again, NO DADDY YOU CANNOT HAVE A PAIR TO WEAR IN IRAQ!  But if I thought Mommy’s First Sergeant would let her wear them you can bet I would send her a pair…

PERFECT PRINCESS BOOTS

So, this morning was a special treat.  Since I went to see the cardiologist on last Thursday, my original appointment for Tuesday March 10 was cancelled.   Pops had to have his staff at work cancel and move his patient’s from the morning so that he could take me to Ann Arbor for the special visit, but when we learned last Wednesday night that the appointment was moved to Children’s Hospital in Detroit, and on that particular day he was in surgery, well it was too late to move his patient’s back on for TODAY.   So – sorry to all his staff and patients for the mix up… but it was my INSURANCE that caused the problem.    THE GOOD NEWS is… I spent time with him this morning (and he doesn’t attempt singing while short of breath!… which is a very cool thing… hint hint Nana)… and I gave him the “total PRINCESS works”.  It is kind of like when you take a car to the car wash and they ask you what package you want… the outside wash, inside vaccuum, under carriage etc.   THE WORKS… Well my Poppy deserves the WORKS right?  From getting up early at 0400 hours (and he loves that we SPRUNG FORWARD AND LOST AN HOUR),to eating breakfast with him,  and the slightly odiferous gifts little princess’ can produce after breakfast!  But he was a trooper… and didn’t even bat an eye… or turn a nose… He then was off to work and the rest of my day was ho hum… not much to say or write about.  But in honor of his special care and his efforts to be there with me at the cardiologist I WORE HIS FAVORITE SWEATSHIRT TODAY!  Go Tigers!  (as if – I really cared, but they seem to make him smile, so … I am – all – for smiles, being cute and adorable so here it goes again… Go Tigers!  Win one for Poppy!)

My hair is growing...if you look reeeeeally hard.

Casual day here in the North Region. Ruffles go with anything!

I am loving you both – with all of my heart… I am being soooooo good, and Nana… well she took a lot of pics with me sleeping because it is hard for her to take photos when everyone is at work and she cannot hold me and the camera… so… later when everyone comes home, I just might sneak in a late night snap shot with me awake so you can see my beautiful eyes…Hey, I'm awake.... Love you Mom and Dad

Love always, Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Nite Momma! Nite Dad! Sweet Dreams... about me of coarse!

Guillianna!

My mom and dad are soldiers…does that make me an Army BRAT?

Are we ready to go to PT yet? I could use a little strength building!

Dear Mom and Dad..

My letter today states the obvious – that you and dad are soldiers, but can I just say I AM NO ARMY BRAT… If you look up the definition of  an ARMY BRAT, (which if you know my Nana, she always makes you look up the definition of words you don’t know, or words you shouldn’t say, right mom?)  So … if you look up the definition – Yes it is true I have military parents, and I have not lived in one place more than three years, (obviously) and yes we are forced to bend twist and turn with deployment and other military life stuff, but I took a poll here, and trust me when I say…  NO ONE HERE THINKS I AM A BRAT!  Words like ‘PRINCESS’, ‘SWEETIE’, CUTIE PIE, AND ADORABLE BUNDLE OF JOY ARE UTTERED CONSTANTLY BUT NEVER ever BRAT

In lieu of the fact that today is  MONDAY, and as we have established in my past letters, that leaves me ‘hangin’ not with my ‘peeps’ but with the “singin’ Nana” of the midwest -and since all of my FUNSTERS MUST go to work and school WELL THAT LEAVES US TWO….. and well… you MUST know… she (being a mom herself)  has the two of you guys on the brain (just like you two have ME on the brain)…  She is reading me stories about mom’s and dad’s.  And telling me all about your days  –  and how you are both hard at work.  Sometimes even in song… or something that is supposed to be a song… I am living  in a darn musical.  Doesn’t she know?

1. I am too little to REALLY UNDERSTAND THE BOOKS she is reading… and

2. that I could never ever forget the way mom plays with my hands, and the way dad makes me smile…the way they hold me and the sound of their voices… BELIEVE ME, I know, and in just days, I get to feel all those things again…. and guess what dad… THE NEW FORMULA SMELLS EVEN MORE DEEEEE-LISH THAN SIMILAC ADVANCED…. bet you can’t wait.

Anyway, she tries to keep my head full, with all kinds of things, but all joking aside, mostly- she does keep it all fun and full of love!

She has a silly picture of daddy on her cell phone, and lots of pictures of mom around… WITH BANGS! (ha dad, Nana says you think those pictures are funny, but Nana says all the kids used to wear bangs!  Kind of like in the 80’s when guys had mullets, and now no one does.  ( MAYBE DAD SHOULD TRY A MULLET WHEN HE LETS HIS HAIR GROW?  Nana says she will put the photo up next to Mom’s with bangs…) I also like 80’s girls in big hair… who knows maybe if I grow some one day, I will try 80’s big hair… OR EVEN BANGS.   Maybe if you’re really lucky, I could even try to cut my own one day… that is always a fun trick.  (or so I am told) Nana says gum in the hair however is not very princess like.

So my photos for the day, hmmmm it was a hard choice, some photos of mom with bangs, and dad being silly or ME…. and the winner is… ME!  Did you really have to wonder what the answer would be?   If you wondered, you most certainly are not visiting my .com enough, because if you were, you would know….IT IS AFTERALL TITLED… “all about Guillianna”.  The rest of the folks here are just supporting cast….  Here I am in my ACU’s, but personally mine are called PCU’S, for Princess Combat Uniform, and no daddy you cannot have a pair! This is special princess issued gear!   YOU MUST BE A PRINCESS TO WEAR IT!

Here I am in MY ACU's....

Today and always, I LOVE MY SOLDIER PARENTS, and am counting the days down already until you are on leave.  XO XO XO Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Guillianna! ADMIT IT, COME ON, CUTEST BUTT EVER!

P.S. HELLO AGAIN TO ALL MY LOYAL FOLLOWERS, MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO ARE ALWAYS READING MY LOVE LETTERS…. I would mention you all by name, but again, there would be sooooo many… and the site is afterall  ALL ABOUT ME… in addition, I am not sure I can spare the space, that might mean less photo ops for me…. (hee hee) and Nana wouldn’t have that now would she…  Love GuGu-Bee

I love my Mom and Dad…

Hey mom and dad, I am proud to be your daughter...

Hello Mom and Dad,

It is SUNDAY, the day where ALL HANDS ARE ON BOARD TO HELP …ME!  With Aunt Mikayla, Aunt Alyxandra, Aunt Allyssa, and Aunt Arrianna… there are those who could say… I need a breather between all that lovin’ and kissin’,  I HOWEVER AM NOT ONE OF “THOSE”.   I totally love it… and, find myself entertained by the non stop attention.  Did I not tell you yesterday about this lovin the flag thing… here is my photo shoot set up for the day… you tell me?

My princess chair awaits my arrival.

Then, add ME…. and you have instant PROUD TO BE THE DAUGHTER OF SOLDIERS!   I still cannot believe you are about to redeploy, and Nana promises to keep the photos coming.   If I weren’t so stinkin cute, and adorable there is only so much ABOUT ME, that a person could get bored.  LUCKY FOR YOU… the cute factor, is more impressive than Nana’s cheesy-ness.   Love letters to you and to dad are the best part of my day.   I just want you to love them as much as I love posing for the pictures every day.   Can you sing with me… Ohhh say can you see… LITTLE MISS GUGU BEE?… ha, I probably shouldn’t modify that to be about me, but who can resist….

Oh Say Can You See....

Tonight my Nana’s Uncle,  my Great Uncle Tom stopped by with Great Aunt Beverly… they met me for the first time.   Nana says, Uncle Tom is her dad’s brother, and that her dad, went to war, when Uncle Tom was small.   Great Grandpa Wally served in the Army too, and he was one of the soldiers who helped liberate the survivors of a concentration camp in Dachau, Germany.   Uncle Tommy was much younger than his older brother was, and while Grandpa Wally was at war, he sent everything he made back to his family.   He left medical school during WWII and was a medic in the US Army.  He took care of Uncle Tommy and his sisters, kind of like a dad does, while making the world better.   I know you and dad are working toward making all of ‘our dreams’ come true. You are taking care of me,  through your service, as your grandfather did for his family.   How cool is that!   It was nice to see my Great Grandfather’s brother, they say he sounds just like Great Grandpa Wally.

One last peek at me, before I go to sleep!

I am having a great day today, and I want you to know that I am your most loyal supporter.  I am lucky to have parents who are serving and protecting our freedom, and like their parents parents before them, making my world the best it can be.   But I wasn’t kidding about that singing thing…Nana.. she’s quite the patriot… Uncle Nick teases her that she was hit by a patriotic stick when she was born… but the truth is, she is just Nana, and she knows there are no perfect places or people, and that our military life can be so very hard in so many ways, but she says, you two will make this all work, and you will both make your whole family proud.  Good nite Mom and Dad, I love you, Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Guillianna!

Hey there, it’s me…

Are you too close Nana?

Dear Mom and Dad,

Today was my Great grandmother’s wedding anniversary.  She lives in Washington state.  She called us  and visited.   She visits the website too… so I will wish her and Great Grumpy a very Happy Anniversary.    There was sooooooo much rain here today that I am sure the Great Lakes are even more GREAT than when the day started!    Nana tells me mom used to go and visit Lake Michigan, up north where Great Grandma Sally once lived before she moved to Washington.    Maybe one day I too will go up north with you Mom and Dad, Nana says it is soooo much fun…. and so pretty.   The perfect place for a little princess to visit and romp.

So today, Aunt Mikayla brought home lunch, and us girls had a ‘girl lunch’.  Pops, well, he had to work, but the rest of us hung out together, and had a nice afternoon.  I must say Poppy was missed, and I soooo love when he comes home, because he is always very good at making me feel ‘super’.

I was all set to go this morning, I was up- bright eyed and energetic as could be- very early this morning.  At 3:00 am to be exact!  Nana figured I would be napping at least part of the day, but for some reason, that was not in the cards.   By 6:00am, when all my aunts were ready to go to work, we were all hanging out in the kitchen laughing and playing … it was fun… then they left and you know what that means…. NANA STARTED SINGING TO ME,  the “Star Spangled Banner” … I was hoping the girls would come back… so we could go back to talking that baby smack we were doing before they left…  oooohing, cooing, smiling… it was all good.   Then they left…

Not to be mean to Nana, but, how many times can one little princess be asked….OH SAY CAN YOU SEE by the dawn’s early light ?   One day I might just answer Nana back… and say YES, YES.. I see, I see….  let me tell you the woman has a camera or a flag nearby at all times… Mom, is there a name for these traits, and are they contagious?   (what’s crazy is I (Nana) am talking in the third person about myself!  Which  just MAY constitute ‘crazy’… or… maybe it’s  just that I have been up since 3:00am…and since it’s going on Midnight here…we could call it sleep deprivation) Back to ME…. this shirt, well it says it all…. I ‘love’ ME!

My shirt says, I LOVE ME! Cute...

I am loving both of you very much, and hope you had a nice Saturday.  I hope you are getting ready to come and visit soon.   I love you with all my heart, Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Guillianna!
