Dear Mom and Dad,
Today was my very big day! Nana knows how much you and daddy wanted me to have social interaction, and how much Mommy hated learning to swim… so I am a GOLDFISH! Yes, a goldfish… I am a memeber of the the Goldfish Swim School.
Actually, I am called a GOLDFISH MINI, and am in a class with four other little GOLDFISH MINI’S.
My lesson began at six tonight, and Poppy came to watch, so did all the campers,
except Aunt Mikayla (tear) who will come next week. I am enrolled to go on Wednesday’s and since Nana has her old lady “insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring transmitter” she cannot get wet, SO Uncle Nick WHO IS AN AWESOME SWIMMER, is my Goldfish Mini Partner, OR ‘GMP’ as I like to call him, (it’s an Army BRAT thing… you guys have PT, ACU’S AND ALL KINDS OF ACRONYMS, Uncle Nick said he’d be my ‘GMP’. Pretty awewsome huh?
Let me say this about it… IT WAS THE BIGGEST TUBBY TIME EVER! Here I am in the Goldfish pond, with the other Mini’s.
Yes, you heard it here first… Elmo is a Goldfish Mini too!
We sing songs, we splash. We practice feeling comfortable in water. Eventually I will also “go under water” for 5 secs, but not today! There is an Alex, Etta, Madeline and a Colin in my class, and to be honest, I had a little trouble focusing on my lesson, I was flirting with Alex!
I know you will be shocked, but Nana and the Beast… they had a field day… ‘snippity snappity, all the other kids families sat and watched, but not mine… NO just short chubby Nana, looking like a Paparazzi for the National Enquirer… she did how ever ask persmission of the other Mini’s parents, and they said no problem, anything for those serving in the ‘land of sand’. So here you go mom and dad… me and my first swim lesson – and what a great goldfish mini I am… Uncle Nick was a huge help as my GMP, and as usual with my fellow campers, he made the princess look like a pro!
I have Elmo Lil’ Swimmers on under my bathing suit,
and yes, they do make my butt look big!
I did so many things in my class and my instructor is very nice! We went searching for balls, and I got one… an orange one…
then another, a purple one…we had to ‘swim’ them back, but I so did not want to let go…. I wanted to keep my ball, but sadly we collected them all, so that we could move on to the next activity.
After we swim and kick in our floaties, we move on to rafts…
Some of the other mini’s have been in class since they were four months, and most are now about 11 months. For now I am a tummy time mini, but soon I will be able to be a sitting mini!
Floating on our backs, and getting to look in a mirror while doing it…. wow… this was a good idea, and next, was the slide into the pool…
Look at me Mom and Dad, I am brave just like you, and I am ready for my first slide ride… right into the biggest tubby ever!
I did so good!
I was so proud of myself…
Wait till you see how happy ….
Right into the arms of my Goldfish Mini Partner!
Good catch Uncle Nick!
I am not even close to wanting to get out of this tubby..
lucky for me, there is still a bit more to do..
Playing with my fellow mini’s and having a BLAST!
I am a social butterfly….
hmmm, Nana says I get that from Momma!
So what do you think, am I your Little Miss Adorable, GOLDFISH MINI? As always, I am, your sweet little swimmer, your daughter,
Guillianna…. Goldfish Mini, Princess of the Pool!
You are cute even as a goldfish!!!
