My New Tooth..

Dear Mom and Dad…

I am sporting a new tooth these days, but letting Nana or the beast capture it for you well that is another story… I am not fond of letting anyone see it just yet, but it works good… I am eating more big girl foods, and loving every second.   I went to meet my GG-ma and Great Papa, it is Friday you know, and Uncle Dave, Aunt Kris, Cuz Steven and Bryan were there too… we had some pasta!   No sauce for me… No Fun Nana, limited me today… but it was still fun.

This is what the other campers call me “giving the stink eye”…. when I am not sure, or thinking… WHAT?….. I give this look…. and right now, I am giving it to Nana cause I don’t want to show you my new tooth….  the beast had to take a lot of photos to try and capture my newest addition.

Then they tried the BRIBE approach…

Give me my little lens cap, and think I will open my mouth….for you to see?

But I am on to them…

Can’t you see it in my eyes, I am on to you all…..

I am too smart!

I am laughing at how silly you are trying to be… and still no photo op for you!

If I told you once Nana I told you twice… NO!    (GIVING THE BEAST THE STINK EYE FOR SURE!)  When suddenly… without warning, I gave them a glimpse…. look careful or you are sure to miss it… it is up top, on the left of my mouth, and it is tiny!  (FOR ALL THAT PAIN, THIS TINY THING GEEZ!)

In the days and weeks before it popped through, I was expecting so much more…

something the size of a house maybe, but no, just this…

After my photo shoot, I was exhausted…

I had an awesome day today, and I am doing better since this tooth popped out, but I am fearful that there are a bunch more coming, and I can only hope that they are not as painful as this one was. 

As you can see I am happy and I am still in love with Nana’s lens cap!

Crazy isn’t it Poppa Richard… I think today is your birthday, BUT IT WAS ME WHO GOT THE NEW PRESENT… hope your birthday was absolutely SPECTACULAR…and like I said before, I hope you had birthday cake for me too!   I’d sing you a song… but … right now every thing I say pretty much comes out  BAH BAH BAH!   Happy Birthday from the Mitten State!

Another FIRST…

Dear Mom and Dad,

Yep, I did it, I ate my first Pasta and Sauce!

Poppy bought me Graduates – First Spaghetti Rings and Meat Sauce and I said…YUMMO!   This is how it all went down…

You will notice to the far right, the baby food jar… is NOT WITHIN THE REACH OF MY LITTLE HANDS… BECAUSE, I DO NOT PUT NOODLES IN MY MOUTH, I prefer to do the ‘squash and play’ thing with any food … eggs….. plain noodles, you name it… toys they go to the mouth, food however, is much more fun to squish, squash and pulverize into the tray, my hands and my clothes…   WHY NO BIB YOU MAY ASK,   well, Nana says  a small tarp would be needed, since I like to GET INTO my food…  so for a while pasta time will be when we have plenty of CLEAN UP TIME…

Can you tell how much fun Nana and I have during our meals… not quite in the fast eating OR NEAT eating phase right now… I like to reeeeeeeally enjoy my meals….

Then, I got a little carried away… and well…. it wasn’t pretty… but it was delish!    I was….. full, and I was exhausted… but a picture is worth a thousand words…

The beast got me… and now Nana’s little  secret is out… 

Nana – who is so often more commonly known as…NO FUN NANA…. every once in a while let’s me go WILD, and feel things, and play and just plain make a full on mess!   BUT IT WAS SO FUN! 

Another first today was that Uncle Nick and Poppy got a chance to go to the first at home hockey game for the 2009-2010 Red Wing Season, and it looks like I am back to work as the the RED WING SPIRIT STICK.    Before they left for the game, Nana and the beast captured the moment… they went downtown and watched the Wings WIN and that means, I am 1-0 for my spirit stick season!   They had two other games in Sweden, and I didn’t wear my jersey… they lost….

So… from my head to my toes, I was ready to go… My jersey with my name on the back, and little red shoes… and Cuz Nanc’s Red Wing sockies she sent me…

Well, it was a good day in the Mitten State… hope all is well in the land of sand, and I think I will stick with rooting for the Wings daddy, since the Chargers let me  (or Nana) down…

Dear Mom and Dad,

I have great news… Nana got me to Goldfish Mini class today and instead of being late with traffic…. we were early!  REAL EARLY, but it was cool.  Nana got a chance to get me changed, and I played with toys and visited with Great Grandma, Great Papa and Great Aunt Pam.   My GMP, Uncle Nick was there, but all the other campers had class tonight… ‘tear’.

Now I have a question for Mom…. see, I am thinking since Nana already has six kids… and had MANY MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO EMBARASS THEM, must she embarrass me too?   Is that fair Mom?   I mean, there I was …. all mini – ed out, being a part of the gold fish mini-class… AND SHE AND THE BEAST… START POPPING PHOTOS OFF LEFT AND RIGHT…  can you see me thinking here… “what the heck Nana?   This is so not cool…

Nana asked the mini parents, “would it be okay to take a photo or two?”….  A PHOTO OR TWO!… HOW ABOUT A BAZILLION?   Uncle Nick always asks Nana, “who taught you how to count?” since she tends to either under estimate, or overexaggerate OFTEN.  (Kind of like UNDER ESTIMATING HOW MUCH TIME IT TAKES TO DRIVE TO GOLD FISH MINI….eh hem…) Maddie, Etta, Simone, Alex and Connor were all there tonight… and of course your little princess ‘ME’ too…   we all had a blast… kickin’ and a splashin’  -floatin’ and  a slidin’  it was the best tubby ever…

I guess I am glad she is a photo bandit…

I will have photos of this for my Camp Nana memories… and I know both mom and dad will be happy to have them.

So now you have seen my friends at “mini’ class, and they are all so nice to me.

I have a pretty big support team here, not only in the water, but on land too…

Swim class is now officially a spectator sport… and everyone sits in the sweltering sauna like conditions… just to see these little faces smile and enjoy… being mini’s!

Thank you friends for putting up with my Nana… she can be a bit much sometimes, but I have learned to just roll with it…

This weeks enterouge…. and last week, Great Great Aunt Ida, and cousin Nancy too…. BUT NO ME, (eh hem remember, poor timing and traffic)… (double tear)  

I enjoyed class very much today, I went down a slide too….

 I was awesome…

I hope to go to Goldfish Mini class with you and daddy when and if you get to come and visit me on R&R…

You will love the friends I have made, and the fun that I have…

When we finished swimming, I was so tired, we went to eat with the family, but I slept through dinner, which you know what that means don’t you…

PARTY my crib TONIGHT!   After a few z’s, I was ready to go, go, go…

I know, it is late, but all the campers are home from school, and I want to visit …

and visit,

and visit,

and play,

and play,

and visit, and ….

yes… PLAY!

So Aunt Arri and I did the whole Patrick Swayze Dirty Dance thingy, and I spent a little quality time with all the gang… and then I sacked out, but here I am before I turned in for the night…

Mom and Dad, I feel so lucky to be able to enjoy so many things thanks to your hard work and your huge sacrifice.  Nana says it is hard some days to send love letters, because she doesn’t ever want you to be sad that you are not here at camp too, but she knows that your seeing me every day like this, is the only thing she has left to give you now that you are big “kids”.   She knows she did a REALLY good job embarrassing all the campers and you when you were small… things like taking all of you to the grocery when you were smaller, and following her around the store like ducks after a momma duck… with two or three shopping carts, gallons of milk, loaves of bread by the stack full, and as you all got older, having supplies shipped to the front door for all the kids on the school bus to see as it passed by… but she really is just about taking care of her kids… and hoping some day, some how, some way, they will know… she never meant to embarrass…. or be too strict… SHE ONLY WANTED THEM ALL TO BE HAPPY AND HEALTHY.   For a short while… she has the opportunity of sharing this ’embarrassing’  stuff with me… I AM JUST GLAD, I AM A TODDLER… AND NOT A TEEN… Nana says, you and daddy get to do the teen thing… and she is going to just hang back and hope I am as sweet and adorable for you then,  as I am now… (just don’t laugh when you hear things she used to say to you, come out of your mouth with ME –  as Nana, says she won’t laugh either… ‘much‘)  Until tomorrow, please know I love you both, I thank you for all you for letting me have so much fun while you are working, and  I am sending a squeeze to get you thru to another day… I am as always

Still Teething…

Dear Mom and Dad,

MEET MY BABY LIFE SAVER!

I love you both very much.  Hope you are both well.  Sorry for delay in my love letter, but never worry, because if it is late, it is just Nana, she is old and a little broken, but is trying to get with the times even if she and  her equipment are anceint…. but here I am…. FINALLY.. still teething but here!

 THIS IS OCTOBER and in a few days my Poppa Richard and my cuz Cody will have Birthday’s!    I hope they are spectacular!   Enjoy some birthday cake for me!
