Well Yesterday was DEER, and Today there are DEAR!

I am trying to decide here...can you see me contemplating...?

Dear Mom and Dad,

Today was a wierd day up in the Northern parts of Michigumme. (yea, I said it, and yea, I may have been in the woods too long…) For Nana, a true low point.   No deer in the window today, and other “Nana Stuff”, that’s what we campers call it when Nana is in a mood.   We just kick back and say… yea it’s Nana Stuff again, and wait for it to pass.   Today ended up pretty cool.  Yesterday may have been deer in the window, TODAY was DEAR people coming to visit!   How cool is this, GG-ma and Great Papa came all this way to hang with me and the campers, or is it the campers and I?    Either way… take a look at this… if Nana was having a NANA MOMENT, well they cured her of her “Nana Stuff” issues.

We all went to Great Grandma Sally's for one last farwell.

However, once we finished our travels and the Nana nonsense…. I found myself in a quandry.    I have a question… can you tell…?

Me pondering the important question of life....

See, here I am, with all my peeps around, and they think if they put that little lens cap thingy I play with out on the table, I will hike on over to it, in a “crawling’ fashion.

Now do I really want to try to go for /crawl to that cap?

they may have to reconsider… since as a princess, I know one thing… if I tire, I can just roll on over, and twenty sets of hands will catch my little head, and most likely hand me the little lens cap when I ‘ask’ for it.   So I negotiated a deal… a few photo op’s in return for a repreve

Photo op....on the CRAWLING THING for today, in exchange for a few AWESOME PHOTOS…. good deal huh ?

I am really far more into the whole you bring it to me thing than me working like a dog to go get something.   I mean – seriously… do you really grasp how much I have to do in order to crawl?   WELL I DO, and it is a lot of stuff.    It’s one thing for nana to have to deal with NANA STUFF, but I am too little to deal with GUILLIANNA STUFF.   I say keep it simple…I’ll  just roll over, and they –   who ever, comes to me…. like this.. some folks say, ‘if you got it, flaunt it”, well I say, yea I got it, and if I target the right people, eh hem… hint -hint…. my little GG-parents…. I can work it….

Yea, this will work... If I look cute... some one will help me out here... any takers? ....

Well incase you cannot see it all over their faces… I have em, hook line and sinker.  That whole Little Miss Adorable thing… well it works like a charm.  I went for a ride in my car today… lookin’ pretty cool behind my Pooh Cruiser… hey,  is that a pun?

Pooh Cruiser, I crack myself up... Love my Winnie the Pooh mobile...

I had an awesome day, and just want you to know that I love you both.   I am told we will see sand dunes in the next few days, and Nana says, I love you guys a bazillion times more than there are granules of sand at the Sleeping Bear Dunes.   Mommy used to climb them with her sisters and brother… one day… I plan to race daddy to the top.   For now, I am having a blast…. Look out HERE I COME!

Hmmmmm do ya think I like this thing?

Hugs and Kisses to both of you all the way in the real land of sand…and may you have sweet dreams day and night of me… your Little Miss Adorable, your princess daughter,

Still pondering lifes big questions...

Guillianna!

Nana says… the worst part of her trip here is over, and after we pick up a few things and and schedule a moving truck for the last of the the “stuff'” we are on our way back to camp.   She wants my GGparents, when they go back and see my love letters, she hopes they will  know… they are so DEAR.  Thank you for making the trip… Thanks for showing all the campers, and my mom and dad what being part of a family is all about.   HUGS AND KISSES… and a special birthday wish to Cuz Bryan and Cuz Steven.    I hope Cuz Rachel feels better soon too.  So many well wishes, I know… but in light of the fact that we are taking time out to say how much we appreciate being a family… I thought I would fly an internet ‘squeeze’ out to ya’ll from DEAR/DEER country.

Deer…and THE POOL!

GOOD MORNING MONDAY!

Dear Mom and Dad,

This morning when Nana was working on getting internet service on her computer… she looked up at the window of our cabin.   Look what she saw!

If you look you can see BAMBI

Right out the window she saw Bambi…

She went to get the Black Beast, and you know what she found…

It was Bambi alright… nibbling on some vegitation, but Bambi was not alone…

Bambi had a friend…

Two Bambi, or is it Bambi's

They were so busy eating, that they didn’t know they were in a photo shoot.

Look how cute....After Nana took a bazillion photos of the deer…. we went swimming, and then the really awesome photos began.  PHOTOS OF ME!

I am ready to go... off to the pool... sunscreen EVERY WHERE EVEN IN MY HAIR!So… I got my suite on,

and was lubed up with 900 proof sunscreen, EVERY WHERE… including my HAIR….

AND finally we were off…

I was so excited to go into my stroller,

I could not keep it in anymore….

I was just so excited!

LOOKIN’ PRETTY CUTE HUH?

Uncle Nick and I are quackin up!

Mr. Nikon and Nana… havin’ a field day… with me and my Starfish floatie!

Hey Nana .... come on in...

This is so much fun!

I am having a blast and Nana captured a photo of a little girl at the swimming pool, who is exaclty the same age as I will be when you are home next August.   She asked ‘Sophia’s’ daddy if she could put the photo up just so you can see how big I will be, and imagine yourselves with me at the pool when you come home.   WE WILL GO TO A POOL OR A LAKE AND THIS WILL BY ME WITH YOU GUYS.

A little friend... at the pool... THIS WILL BE ME WHEN YOU COME HOME and we go to the pool together!

She is two… and lovin’ the pool like me.   Thank you Sophia’s daddy for letting me show my mom and dad a glimpse into OUR FUTURE.   This will be us before you know it… it will give my mommy and daddy something sweet to dream about.   I love you very much mom and dad, and hope you know that you are being thought of so often.   Please hold on to these pictures and keep smiling when you think of me, and don’t forget how lucky I am that you are my parents.   Nana says send photos… and sends hugs and kisses from me to you!   Until tomorrow, I am as always, your sweet LITTLE MISS ADORABLE,  “Little Miss Tuckered Out”, your daughter,

Sitting on the deck, sun setting in the west, TUCKERED OUT, and lovin' life!

Guillianna!

Glen Arbor… on a Sunday!

Me thinking about things playing with my favorite toy!

Dear Mom and Dad,  Yea, I love this lens cap thingy, it is one of my very favorite ‘toy’s’ if you can believe it.   I chomp on it when ever Nana brings out Mr. Nikon… which is often as you know.  But I love it and have fun with it!

Today is Sunday.  I love Sunday’s here in the north as much as I do back at camp.  As a matter of fact, the past few days have been like SUNDAY since all the campers are with me ALL DAY LONG.  They have played with me, and we have worked so hard on crawling.   The CRAWLING toy daddy sent me, is so awesome.   I really like playing in it.   There are things along the way to touch and squeeze and shake.  I love it.

Today we could not get much done since everything is closed for the trailer/truck rental place that Nana has to get to move some stuff for Great Grandma Sally, so we just enjoyed Glen Arbor, Michigan.   It is in the little pinky of the ‘Mitten State’.   There is water every where mixed with green trees and wild flowers, sand dunes and deer!   Yes, Nana spotted a deer just a few feet from us.  Poppy took me out in my little car, and I was …. adorable.

THIS IS THE LIFE! BEEP BEEP... LOOK OUT HERE I COME!We walked and saw the sights…

I guess I should say Poppy walked and I sat back and enjoyed the ride…

Like a Princess on a float in a parade…

Hey let’s see if I have it …

you know the Princess wave…

Here how about this….

I AM THE CUTEST THING EVER…. OR AT LEAST THATS WHAT ALL THE CAMPERS HERE SAY…

The PRINCESS WAVE.... Hello World, it's me, Guillianna!

Yea,  I got it!   I definately have IT.   Princess Guillianna… what do you think mom and dad….

I spent time with my ‘learning toys’ today here I am trying to figure one out…

Uh... hmmm.... I can do it... give me a second...

I know what will help me…Here I am... Now I have everything a princess needs to concentrate!

Now I can concentrate on those ABC’s.

I had a great day today.  I am now taking my tummy medicince twice a day and eating two meals and a fruit snack per day with little or no trouble.

Since Nana brought almost everything under the sun from camp, it seems like I am at camp, she has the same bedding for my bed, a crib not the pack-n-play.  Even my music box/mobile from the crib because yes, I am a little bit particular.  I am just beginning my phase of ‘liking familiar things’.   Usually I go to sleep at night listening to Neil Diamond, yes mom, that is true, NEIL DIAMOND, a Nana thing you may not be so happy about when you come home, or maybe I will outgrow… because she left the Neil Diamond CD at camp.   LUCKY FOR ALL THE CAMPERS, we have iTunes.   Uncle Nick had to download the song onto his iPhone, and plays it for me when I go to bed.   It’s Neil Diamond and Dolly Parton singing ‘You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling’ !   GO FIGURE, who knew it would grow on me so…. and now… Uncle Nick jokes that my first words will be …. ‘YOU NEVER CLOSE YOUR EYES ANYMORE…. ha!

I have all the comforts of camp though to be sure, and am truly loving my field trip.   I am such a good little camper!  Until tomorrow, please know I love you both very much and as always I am your LITTLE MISS ADORABLE, your daughter,

Hey Mom and Dad, I am having a great time in the pinky finger of the Mitten State!

Guillianna!

Because I Am Free

Look what I saw today!

Dear Mom and Dad,

I am writing today to say THANK YOU.   Thank you to all the service men and women, who have sacrificed so much for the freedom we are able to enjoy.

Nana and Poppy feel so lucky to know the meaning of freedom!

Nana has used this site to tell you about every day of my life and to let you see me, but today, as she and I looked around us, it was clear just how wonderful our lives are, how much we have because of our freedom, and the amazing things that being here, on this planet, as human beings… allows us to experience.

I know that both of my parents, would like to be on beaches of sand – not a desert of sand.  I know they would like to be here, with me, and instead are fulfilling a promise they made long before I ever came to be.   BUT I APPRECIATE IT ALL AND SO DO ALL THE REST OF THE CAMPERS .  There is not one of us who did not think  about how much we wanted you here with us.   The whole family together!   None of us can wait  for the day you return and we are all able to enjoy the blessing of the freedom we have.   IN EVERY PERSON WE SAW… IN EVERY ACTIVITY BEING ENJOYED,  EVERY BREATHTAKING VIEW TAKEN IN,  EVERY SPLASH IN THE WATER, YOU CAN SEE THE FACE OF FREEDOM AND OF DEMOCRACY.    Many of these people work 40 plus hours a week, every week, for a year or longer to afford an opportunity to enjoy a summer break.   This PLACE, was a summer place for Nana and her family for more than 50 years.  How lucky she was.   How truly lucky.   You will see why  –  Looking down the beach of Lake Michigan…families, couples, individuals, enjoy a bit of freedom…

Enjoying a day at the beach...

Up here is where Nana used to vacation with her mom and dad, they worked very hard every day of every week to bring their children up to Northern Michigan to play in and climb on sand dunes.   To swim and to spend time in a cottage.   This year, the cottage is gone and has been the reason for the trips here lately,  her brother had been living here, and now cannot.   Today Nana shared with all the campers places and things she used to do as a child.   I won’t remember any of this, but Nana hopes that the photos, and stories will be passed on to me, she says her Mom, Great Grandma Sally and her Dad, who has passed,  and Grumpy now all would want all us campers to hold on to the memories and make new ones.   Well you know me, I am all for making new memories… and being the center of attention… so here I go…

Me getting ready for a swim…

I am going to the pool....cutie patooty!

and here I am in the pool with my Goldfish Mini PARTNERS…. ALL THE CAMPERS AND POPPY TOOK ME FOR A SPIN IN MY FLOATIE!

LOOK AT ME!

Here I go…. my little feet were kicking and kicking …. I will be a Goldfish Mini pro when I get back to my swim classes.  THEN I PUT MY FEET INTO A REALLY COLD LITTLE FOUNTAIN FOR BABY FEET…. WOW….

OH MY THIS WATER IS COLD!

I am having a nice visit up at Grandma Sally’s old home… and here are more photos of the scenery… there are trees and vacation homes everywhere.   Mostly there is blue water, and happy faces.

People kayak or canoe down this river, one time Nana's kids did this.... I am too small, but one day I am going to float it with dad and mom, and beat both of them down!

Nana  says Grandma Sally now lives in the Pacific Northwest, and she tells Nana, that where she lives now is even more beautiful, and she is so happy to be with Grumpy there…. so, we plan on taking a trip to see.   Poppy and Nana be traveling to see here after we finish up here, and I will go too so that Grumpy can meet me, and then WE WILL HAVE TO GIVE HIM A NEW NAME, SINCE NO ONE CAN EVER MEET ME AND STILL HAVE A NICK NAME OF ‘Grumpy’.   He will get one look at me, and everyone will be calling him SMILEY.   Great Papa and GG-ma, are holding down Camp Nana right now, but CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY ARE COMING TO SEE US TOO, they are coming and it makes Nana so happy that they will get to see where Nana spent some really happy and fun years.   Even if only briefly… she is so pleased, and excited that we are all going to have a chance to enjoy all the  places and memories Nana is always squawking about…  don’t you worry guys, the ‘black beast’ aka Mr. Nikon is sure to capture their visit.   Until then, you can check back in, and see… this face, this smile, and know… the rest of the campers and I, well we realize a few important things….

Out Enjoying MY FREEDOM.... the life you gave me, and knowing you and I will be coming here one day together.

When we see, white picket fences, and shoreline of a country such as this,

Lake Michigan Shoreline.....We …. at least Nana , Poppy and the campers, all think ….

about soldiers, in the land of sand and elsewhere,

and hope they return to these shores, healthy, safe, and able to enjoy the freedoms that democracy brings.

I will write you tomorrow, with more of my time, and know that while I AM WAY TO LITTLE TO REMEMBER ANY OF THIS, I know mommy does, and hope it makes her smile to know, that one day she and you and I…. we will walk these shores, look for Petosky stones, and enjoy the scenery together.   I love you both very much, and am very much enjoying my stay at camp.  Everyone loves on me, and to be honest, I am every campers favorite… if there were an award for MOST POPULAR CAMPER, OR MISS CONGENIALITY at Camp Nana, I WOULD MOST DEFINATELY TAKE THE PRIZE!

But I want to go swimming? No ... No Swimming?

Well, I will hopefully go swimming again tomorrow… if so… I’ll send more pics… until then I am as always, your Little Miss Adorable, your little swimmer…

Night mom and dad, sweet dreams! (of me of course!)

Guillianna!   THANK YOU BOTH AND ALL THOSE SERVING WITH YOU!
