Merry Christmas ?
Dear Guillianna and Elijah –
nana and poppy along with Great grandma Sally and great Grandma Sharyn Great Papa and all the rest of your family from moms side of the family are sending you wishes for love good health and happiness on Christmas and ALWAYS ! We are hopeful your joy and excitement were over the top and you both feel loved.
we miss you so very much. The last time you Poppy saw you was in the photo above. The love you had in your hearts for him was pure and so genuine. There are no words to say how much he misses you. How much we both miss you – words could not begin to explain with any adequacy the heart felt loss that we share over not seeing our own daughter and her kids. Now that guillianna has turned 13 and Elijah has turned 10 we meet the four year mark since you’ve been allowed to have a relationship with any of the people that were such a big part of your lives for 9 and 6 years. Time will erase most of the memories. And it’s our hope that the images and the memories you do have will bring back feelings of warmth and good. There is likely a struggle between what you remember and know to be true and what has become a void of no Nana and No Poppy for you both.
We know you will have memories of us coming to your school performances. Sharing in your grandparents day activities. For us, nothing can change those beautiful memories. Hopefully since Elijah was so much younger he will be able to forget the way he and poppy played – or replace those memories with new ones. Hopefully while you were much older and spend more time with us – you will be able to keep the true emotion burning like a candle and balance it with new loves. New experiences. You will fill the void or absence where your love for Poppy and Nana with new friends. New activities. Keeping busy with School work and making dreams come true.
I know the images of this site will be forever. I know the memories I have of your mom and how loved she always was and still is will resonate in our souls no matter what!
In a few years you will be in high school. And Elijah in middle school That is hard to believe. A lifetime is passing by. Every day grandma sally follows you both in photos that appear on a screen in front of her. She loved when you came to visit her when she lived in Michigan and Guillianna even visited her in Washington before Elijah was born.
Great Grandma and Great Papa are also seeing photos of you guys and praying you’re all well . To some people they spend their lives with family – being around aunts and uncles cousins and grandparents. Other families have great distance between them. Due to jobs or schooling and other reasons – our family misses you all. We spent a lifetime trying to help mom and her sisters here in America trying to allow for them to be close but in the end it was they who decided what was to be their journey – they choose what was best for them – and makes them feel happiest.
You will one day choose the journey you want. What path will you embark upon ? It’s hopeful you will always have a close loving relationship with each other, with your parents and when they are grandparents I hope they will get to share in the lives of their grandchildren. Maybe- when they are older when you two get married or have children – then they will learn how important it is and what great value grandchildren bring to the lives of so many people especially grandparents and great grandparents –
one day I hope my daughter can spend the older years of her life sharing in all your kids life events. Maybe she will learn to attach to others through your teaching her. Maybe you two will be the conduit to teaching others how important family really is !

it’s Christmas 2023 and words cannot express how much love we have for you both and all your cousins. We hope you’re always sourrounded by love and happiness that your Christmas dreams will fulfilled. I know that sinceelis favorite player won the World Cup he must have been so happy.
