It is July – Independence Day!

Dear Friends and Family…

I hope you take the time to look through the dates of my love letters.   Since February 2009 thu May 2010 you can read each and every letter, or see me as I grew during that time while mom and dad completed a second tour of duty in the land of sand.   So much happened in that year, and every bit of my life was chronicled for my mom and dad to see.   Now I am at home with them, at Fort Hood.

It has been quite a while since I wrote to everyone, Nana, my personal secretary has been on a sabbatical of sorts.   I am living at Fort Hood and have been adjusting to life here.   Mom and Dad are both back from the land of sand, and  we are all living together in our new home.   I have a wonderful life and my parents and I are adjusting to life as a family.   It is all good… and I am so glad for their safe return.

To my camper buddies, I miss you…. and to my Great Grandparents… I miss you too….

A year ago the campers and I went delivering flags in the community.   This year some of the campers will have honored the tradition that has been going on for so long at camp Nana.  Nana is pretty sick…. but she went in the car for a while.   I wasnt able to leave  you a flag personally, but Nana had the campers do it for me and all of us!      A flag…. left at a doorstep… to say Happy Fourth of July…

We … wish you all good health and happiness and we honor all of the service men and women, as well as all the civilians who honor the stars and stripes.   HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

Love Guillianna!

  1. Dear Guillianna Family,

What a beautiful site to wake up and see the American Flag of freedom at our driveway! It is such a wonderful gesture you have made.

We have a long history of Veterans in our family. My husband served in Vietnam, My father and father in-law served in World War II. We fly our flag with honor every day for the mens and women that serve for our freedom.

Our 14 year old son would like to someday walk in his fathers shoes in the Military Police Force.

You have broght a smile along with some tears to our family this 4th of July.

    Thank you for your kindness
God Bless you and your Family!

  2. Hi Honey!
Happy Independence Day to you and mommy and daddy. It sure was an amazing surprise when I checked your site and found beautiful you behind the flag. What a sweet picture. I am so happy to learn you and your mommy and daddy are adjusting well to your new lives as a family. We all think of all of you. I know this picture is the best medicine Nana could ask for! I remember you helped to place flags last year. How awesome Nana got to go for the ride this year.
It sure is hot here but I am certain it is even hotter where you are.
Keep your beautiful smile and please tell mommy and daddy I send my love to all of you.
Thank you for sharing you with all of us.
    Love you,
    Cuz Nanc

Happy 4th to you, your mommy and daddy. I know it is a special day in your house and someday you will understand why. We missed you even more this day sincer your little helping hands were not putting those flags in the ground with us….. but we were smiling thinking about you. Love to all of you

We sure miss your beautiful smile that Nana posted each day so this picture of you is really a treat.
