Why Can’t I Sleep?

Hey everyone... I am just too busy to sleep!

Dear Mom and Dad…

So, as you probably noticed, Nana did not complete my love letter in her usual time frame… (during my sleeping time) because… I chose not to sleep.

I went to bed at 900 ish, and decided to wake back up and stay up until after midnight ish…. and all of that after I woke up at 500am and didn’t nap all day other than a 10 minute cat nap that did not  allow Nana a chance to accomlish much.   I am not sure if I am still feeling the effects of my ear ache, or if I am just a PARTY GIRL who wants to party with each and every camper as much as possible.   I haven’t a fever, my nose is not dripping, yes I continue to drool, so it could be that I am working on more teething issues, but there is one thing for certain.   I DO NOT WANT TO SLEEP, I DON’T LIKE TO SLEEP, AND I LOVE PLAYING… as a matter of fact, today, I was not interested in posing for the beast, I was interested in playing, and above, Nana snapped the shot which was distracting me from play!

Can you tell, I am asking her, WHAT?  Can’t you see I am busy here!

Here are a few more…

Busy at play... no time to look up and smile..Me busy as a bumble bee, no time for smiling at the beast, or even stopping for a second…

When I am interested in playing.. don’t bother me with little things like taking pictures…

I WANT TO PLAY…

so… I did…

Play, Play, Play, (NO NAP) Play, Play, and play some more….

Hello, Mr. Nikon, can I get back to playing now? So I paused for a moment, then it was back to my Pooh Bear Auto, which I find very amusing, and interesting…

There are about a bazillion buttons to push, and noises to make, which means …. you know what….

No time for napping…

Believe me, Nana tried, and I had to put my foot down and say, how can I sleep with so many things to explore, and do here…

My trusty little lens cap!

and when done with all the toys, there is always the little lens cap to play with too…

You want me to what? .... Nap? I laugh in the face of napping...

Nap you say?   Napping is for babies!   I am soooooooo big, and I will fight you on this idea….(at least for today cause all I want to do is play play play)

Ha.. Ha.. Ha...

But even though I fought Nana on resting very much and was an EARLY riser, I was still adorable,

I was still sweet,

and I am as I am every single day…

Your, LITTLE MISS ADORABLE, YOUR SWEET DAUGHTER,

GUILLIANNA!

Monday’s Reading Picnic …

Teething on my ARMY duck!

Dear Mom and Dad,

So today was a Monday… and most everyone had work of some kind.  Uncle Nick is off this week from school but had work for Poppy to do.  All the other campers had school and work… so it was pretty much just Nana and I, at the zoo… OH, I MEANT CAMP.

After Uncle Nick finished his work for Poppy, he snapped up a few shots with the beast because I was having ‘reading time’ with Nana… and the zoo campers.

This is me telling them to pay attention to the story...

See I have the book opened to the page I like best, and Mr. Griffy and Miss Liberty are in front of me, but I cannot get Justice to pay attention.  Nana is the grey blob next to me.. and we were all sitting on our picnic reading time blanket except for one renegade camper….

Liberty and Griffin - resting as I read... Justice, stands to listen...

Here all three are listening, with Mr. Griff laying calm and Miss Liberty even resting… but Justice, stands at attention, just in case he has to go bark at a squirrel outside during story time… oh please!  Sit already… I’m reading here…gee wiz…

Nana was telling mommy on the phone of our morning routine, and when she called Aunt Arri tried to video me doing some of these things.  So here is how a morning goes at camp.   I almost always wake with a smile, and start talking in the crib, when I do, Nana says.. DO I HEAR A BABY?    From that moment on, I am pretty much all smiles.   We get up change a dipe, and I stretch… to grow just a bit more that day.  Then we let the  canine animals at camp out… when we do, Nana  has a little thing that hangs by the back door.  In it, a lot of dust, and a few little tiny decorations, mostly little bears… that she lets me explore.   I get to hold them or touch them, and could do this for hours.   I am so gentle with them, I don’t even think about putting them in my mouth, it’s like I have it totally figured out, these are not baby toys.. and I am being so good when she lets me see them.   From there we go the the refridgerator, where I OPEN THE DOOR.  I then peek around the door, and look for Ms. Butterworth, she is in there every time… sitting waiting for me to say hi to her.   We grab a ‘bob’ and throw it into the warmer with a little sauce (water).   While I wait for the bob, I listen to a little magnet that is on the side of the fridge, with two little adorable characters that talk and laugh, I love them.   I usually sit and enjoy the bob,  as it early and very quiet around here.

I hope you can image what morning here at camp is like… and soon you will be here in person for a bit to spend quiet mornings too.  It will be so awesome to just sit and DO NOTHING BUT SMILE AT EACH OTHER… and possibly watch Sid the Science Kid which is on sometimes when I eat my bob.   Until tomorrow, I am as always, your Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Being silly!

Guillianna

Daddy and Mommy’s little princess!

I am being so good… I cannot wait we will be together in just over eight weeks…

WOO … WOO!

Reflecting….

I am thinking here.. can you see me thinking about something....?

Dear Mom and Dad…

What a day I had today… it began with a visit to a very good friend of Poppy and Nana’s, Ms. Lois who just had surgery. I took a pose by her flowers because they were so beautiful.

Taking a moment to smell the roses... so nice!

Then after that, we had a day planned around visiting Great Grandma and Great Papa!   GG-ma again prepared the most delicious dinner for me.   Noodles, a favorite, and carrots too.   I love eating big people food…. I had some applesauce too.   Everything was amazing but most of all, she made a special recipe cheesecake, one that her mom used to make long ago…and let me say this… IT WAS SCRUMPTOUS!   I loved it, and may ask her to make me one of those for my FIRST BIRTHDAY because it was that delish!

Nana and Poppy both hope all the campers will reflect today AND EVERY DAY, asking themselves constantly if there something more that can be done to make the world nicer, is there a way for me to be nicer and have empathy, compassion, tolerance,  and understanding for all men and women, all faiths, all, cultures, all races, and to make right anything they ever do wrong intentionally or otherwise.  The family sitting and enjoying each others company made for a nice evening.    I heard from mommy today which was an extra bonus!  She sounded okay, and I was talking and laughing a bit for her  – just so she could hear me.   Here is a look at my day…..  and Nana always says she was told… THE BOOK OF LIFE HAS CHILDREN IN IT… SO MY PHOTOS FROM TODAY ARE IN THE FORM OF A BOOK BECAUSE I KNOW THAT “I” am YOUR EVERYTHING IN LIFE.   Until tomorrow, please know that I am your Little Miss Adorable, the one and only your daughter,  Guillianna, who is the child in your book of life, and has blessed all by being Mommy and Daddy’s little princess!

Doing the Dance!

Hey Mama and Daddy, I have a treat for you....

Dear Mom and Dad,

I had an awesome day today,  I just kind of hung out at camp, and enjoyed a beautiful Saturday of Michigan ‘fall’.   Leaves are starting to change color here, and the weather is awesome.   I check the weather in the land of sand when I can, and some cities there show temperatures that are pretty high during the day… like approaching 100 degrees farenheit.   WOW…

We went to Babies R Us, as I needed a new stroller, since I have a big girl car seat now… so that was very fun.   Uncle Nick and Aunt Arri put it all together for me.. and I like it!   We all ate dinner at camp together, and a friend of Uncle Nick’s came too.  We had fun, and I got to do something I really love to do.  Aunt Arri has taught me “dirty dancing”.  Yes, she did!  You see, I love to dance with her, and I watch this one little part of a movie where Johnny (aka Patrick Swayze) lifts Baby (Jennifer Gray) in the air while dancing!  I love it so much I really sit and watch it… Nana tried to video tape it for you both to see… I hope you like it.

So, now you see how we roll here at Camp, and I am loving it.  I love “dancing” with the campers…. and I hope you and daddy like watching my lift!

Until tomorrow, I hope you remember that I am your Little Miss Adorable, Your Little Miss Dancing Baby, your Daughter,

Ready to dance!

Guillianna!
