I WENT TO THE PEDIATRICIAN
FOR MY 15 MONTH CHECK UP!
I AM 20 POUNDS 10 OUNCES!
I AM 30 INCHES LONG!
I AM DOING VERY GOOD!
Dear Mom and Dad,
Today was VACCINATION DAY, here at Camp Nana. I was very good for Nana all day. I woke very early and then took a morning nap, when I woke up, it was time to go to the pediatrician for what will most likely be the last time in the Mitten State. Unless I need Dr. “E” when I come visiting. He had everything ready for me, like Nana had requested, a complete copy of my medical records for you and daddy to take back to Fort Hood, and my new pediatrician.
While I am to continue my tummy medicine, I am slowly weaning off it. I ate some yogurt and had a taste of frozen custard yesterday, and dairy still causes a little reflux, but nothing like when little. So he gave me a prescription for you to take back to Fort Hood, until my new doctor makes decisions as to whether or not I need it. My heart sounded great! My lungs too. He examined my head circumference, my ears, my mouth, my eyes, my abdomen, and said… I AM A PRINCESS!
Nana will give you all my paperwork when you return home so that you can copy it and keep one for us, and give one to my new pediatrician.
I really don’t like vaccinations, and NIETHER DOES NANA! The process of getting them is not her favorite. She says she wishes that the nurse who administers the shots, would have a tech come in and old the baby instead of Nana. It seems so strange a mom or dad, or Nana or Poppy or anyone holding the baby down and letting someone “stick” the baby. It a tech held the baby and IMMEDIATELY GAVE THE NOW CRYING AND HYSTERICAL CHILD TO A PARENT OR GRANPARENT OR WHOM EVER for them to soothe, well it would be so much less traumatic on the Nana types who feel the baby is looking to be protected and I would not have looked at Nana with eyes that asked “why would Nana let anyone do that to me? ”
Yea, I have heard it is for my own good, and I know IT IS CAUSE EVERYONE LOVES ME THAT I MUST ENDURE… BUT IT IS JUST REALLY A VERY HARD CONCEPT TO GRASP – EVEN FOR A SUPERGENIUS 15 MONTH OLD – WHO ALREADY READS AND WRITES LOVE LETTERS TO HER MOM AND DAD IN THE LAND OF SAND – AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE.
It hurts and Nana let’s them do it… IS THIS THE SAME NANA WHO HAS TROUBLE TELLING ME NO, cause she doesn’t want to make me cry or hurt my feelings? I mean really… does this make sense… she cannot tell me NO but she lets them stick a needle in my thigh? Weird.
I will put it on my list of things I need to figure out later on in life. Along with things like why some people CRY tears of joy when they are happy! Rumor has it I will not fully get it all until I am older, so for now… I MOVE ON.
Anyway for the rest of the day at Camp, I was put into TAKE IT EASY MODE, AND WAS – DARE I SAY IT- A BIT OF A FUSSY PRINCESS… but it is temporary and baby Tylenol helps me feel like my sweet self again quickly!
I hope that you and daddy know that today and every day, I am your Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,
Guillianna!
Hello Princess,
WOW what a big girl you are. Growing up so fast. You need to slow down so mommy and daddy can catch up. We are so glad that Nana took you to the pediatrician cause we know that she hates it when the princess is sad. But she did it. We love you and miss you so much and we cant wait until we get to see you soon.
Love always,
mommy and daddy
