Going to get my picture with Dad and Mom!

Waiting for my photo shoot with mom and dad!

Dear Mom and Dad,

I am sorry that I was a bit sad getting my picture taken today, but the photographer said that he did get a few nice shots of the three of us!   We will see.

On the move! Man this is a lot of dress to move!

Today is Great Aunt Nori’s birthday.  So big hugs and kisses goin’ out to her in Califonia, and to Great Grandma Sharyn – for this is the day she brought Aunt Nori into the world just a few years back.   Missing my cousins already…and they just left.

Is it our turn yet?

I had fun playing today and waiting my turn for photos at the photo place!  The beast came and snapped me up a few of me for you and daddy to enjoy now, until the others come to you in the Land of Sand!

How long will I wait looking this cute?

We have some time tomorrow to play and I will be loving every second.

All of the campers are preparing to skate in the annual family memorial to Great Grandma Betty.  Even though it is a memorial, she would be so happy to see all the family together, and having fun.    It truly is a lot of fun and all the cousins and grandkids that can go, do…. it is this Saturday.   It is always the Saturday before Christmas, and it is just for fun… all the Campers who do not even ice skate throw on a pair, and make the best of it.   Mom and Dad, you will miss it but maybe next year we can all do it depending on where we get stationed.  Who knows.  Poppy keeps score, Aunt Arri makes CD’s of music… there is a ton of family- family- family stuff going on… and it brings all of us together.  Uncle David keeps score with Poppy since his MS keeps him from skating, but believe me, he’d be out there if he could.   Next year Aunt Nori and the kids may even make it in for it.   But Aunt Kris’ parents come, and Steven and Bryan get to skate with their grandfather too…. it really is the most unbelievable thing.   Nana says maybe next year Great Grandma and Grumpy will come in for Christmas, who knows…. (not likely since its a hard time to travel but you never know)

Caught mid sentence again...

Thats about all that is happening around here at Camp Nana today but it was fun, and I loved every second with you guys.

I also hear cuz Nanc is having some surgery on Monday..

Hope it is a huge success cause we have som serious crawling and playing to do when I come to visit you.

Nana says, that while GG0ma and Great Papa are gone, and you and daddy are in the land of sand I will get to play with them, and they with me!  So mark your calandar Cuz Nanc… your healing spirit stick will be right there cerring you alon after your surgery.   I hear we get to come hang with you and Great Aunt Ida, and who knows maybe Nana can torture someone else with her singing, it will have you up and running (away from it) in no time!   Until tomorrow, I am as always, your Little Miss Adorable, your dughter,

Bye for now... see you in the morning!

Guillianna!

Things are about to change…

Hello Every One!

I AM LOVING THIS BACKPACK!

Hey Everyone... I have a back pack, wanna see?

Dear Mom and Dad,

Today is Monday, December 14th.   I am resting from a busy day yesterday… and you and dad are making final preparations for the return to the Land of Sand.   The count down until your final return will begin soon, and while we can only hope for that day to be in April or May… I am thinking, it means… we have already made it through the longest part of our “duties” apart.    Four to five months and we will be at Fort “where ever”.   Nana says that  she will try to keep www.guillianna.com up and running filling you in on every last detail ALL ABOUT ME, until we meet you at the airport next time….. and maybe for a few days more, until I am on my way back home with you and daddy.   She says then it will be your job to send her and the campers love letters from me!

Uh, yea, I love the back pack Dr. Mark and Ms. Miriam!

I went to see my cousins and Great Aunt off this morning … and am not clear when we will see each other again.  I hope they have a safe flight, and that they are not too tired tomorrow for school.    Sadly, we have also had our last ‘Fun Friday’ for a while as Great Grandma and Great Papa will be gone for a while too….we hope they travel safely too.

Yep, things are ‘a changing’… and you know what that means …? Oh, how WONDERFUL for me, more quality one on one time with the SINGING NANA…. 🙁  Thank goodness I can play with my musical instruments now.

Kissin the baby! Now that I am the big girl.... I can call her the baby!

DID SOME ONE SAY SHOT?

It seems I am in for a series of immunizations and vaccinations this week. YUK.  Is that anyway to treat Her Majesty?   I mean, feed me cake, give me a shot… or two or three… yikes… not fair.  Nana says… Life Is Not Always Fair, so I will keep a stiff upper lip and do what I must.    I also have many many ‘THANK YOU NOTES to personally write and holiday cards to mail, so the week will be busy as ever and pass quickly.

Maybe we should talk about this shot thing first....?

Good news however, among all the changes  – as we are  to begin this  – the last leg here at Camp Nana, all of the campers will be out of school for a bit.   Uncle Nick had finals today, and all my Aunts finished theirs last week.  So starting December 20… it will really be LIKE EVERY DAY IS SUNDAY and there will be hands around the camp to help me on Monday through Sunday until the New Year!  Woo Woo!   Yea, they all still work but, no night classes… so I will be able to play with them evenings.   Always fun… always……a party with the campers.   Until tomorrow, I hope you will know I am your one year old Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Oh, no problem,I am an Army Strong Baby, I can do this vaccination thing...

Our Last Sunday Together For A While…

Birthday Baby!

Dear Mom and Dad,

Hey there, I am hoping you will remember our day together forever!  I write you tonight to say… that leaving to go back to the land of sand may be harder than the first time… and Nana and Poppy had hoped that by celebrating my first birthday together you would see all the love that I have here in the Mitten State, and every state!   The website is followed by people who don’t even know me, in countries all over the world, but who support me in your absence by.   Patient’s, friends, family – everyone all hoping for your safe return to your princess….

Yes… Great Grandma started celebrating Nana’s birthday on what Nana used to call SHOE LIE FIRST, AND THE CELEBRATING DIDN’T END UNTIL SHOE LIE THIRTY FIRST…. That – ‘SHOE LIE”  is what Nana used to call July.   NOW  – I have the terrible burden of carrying on that little tradition… from December 1 all the way until December 31, and then we will celebrate a new year, and only a few SHORT MONTHS until the Next December BIRTHDAY blast!  My gold fish mini friends came, except Sweet Etta who was sadly home sick.   (feel better)  All of my mini buds… found the perfect things for me!  Oh my,  especially the one the perfect thing to drown out Nana’s SINGING!

This is awesome! I love making music!

I love music!

Yep it is true…I LOVE MAKING MUSIC AND YES, if my Nana can call what she does singing, I can call what I do…. Music!

Me and my drum!

Playing the drum.

And brushing my  teeth I am a multi tasker!

I can bang this thing…

ALL DAY LONG!

If I do it loudly enough no one will even notice Nana singing!

I got so many wonderful presents…. but if you can believe it I got a PONY! Ms. K and her family found the perfect pet for the zoo…. and a most wonderful gift.

Oh my... a pony!

There were so many nice birthday gifts… all special for me the princess…

I had a blast!

There was even a birthday cake!  I was very dissappointed it wasn’t GG-ma cheesecake…  since that is what I thought you get on a birthday….but I had fun anyway!  I have OFFICIALLY learned what the campers have been saying…… DESSERT truly IS THE BOMB!

Me and my first birthday cake!

It was fun and delicious....

Now… let me get this right, Iam allowed to have my cake and eat it too, but when I am a big girl princess it is better to use my fork?   Well if I can have some fun now…let’s do it…  Here we are Mom and Dad… having a blast in the cake…

Eating cake!

I am so intrigued by this whole cake thing…

Yum!

I hope that you and daddy will think about this day until you come back to camp and pick me up.   All the family and friends who were there, and for all the family and friends who were not, they all love me.  They all help Nana and Poppy, and they all cannot wait until we are all together again…. thank you for being my Mom and Dad.   Until tomorrow, let us play play play, and hold on to the memories of the day!  As always,

A princess cake! And A PRINCESS CAKE!

"Mom and Dad"!

THIS IS WHAT I CALL GETTING INTO YOUR FOOD!Getting RIGH IN TO THIS!

Happy Birthday... it truly was....!

Your Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Happy Family

Guillianna!

T’was the Saturday BEFORE….

Our last weekend together.... for a bit, but then.... Camp is done, and I am with you FULL TIME!

Dear Mom and Dad,

It is our last weekend together… before you finish up your job in the land of sand and come back to me.

We had fun these past days, and it is just the beginning of things to come.   Today Nana was telling mommy about how we will get to go to the zoo.   It will be awesome.   I will look forward to that day.   Until then… I have decided we will play play play.

Places to go... people to see!

I am all about playing these days… getting it in as often as possible ya know that is what its about… fitting in all the fun things life has to offer…. when we can.

I watch every thing and am amazed by everything...

Tomorrow I will celebrate my BIRTHDAY with mom and dad, and the family around town here before they leave to go back to the Land of Sand.   I am to be PRINCESS FOR THE DAY.    Who am I kidding, I plan on being Princess of the Day EVERYDAY!

Mom Dad and I playing with my duckie...

Until tomorrow, when I plan to eat Birthday Cake and spend the day with family saying good bye to mom and dad, who leave in a few days, this will be our last Sunday until spring… and we hope to make it memorable for both of you mom and dad…  Nana and Poppy both realize that getting on the plan later in the week will be very hard… so this our last Sunday brunch for a while, will be nice and special filled thing that you will be able to think about on the plane, and into the Land of Sand….. thoughts that will help you to see how Camp Nana has so much love and so many who support you and daddy.   There are many who cannot be there tomorrow in person, who have helped me along the way, and they will be missed.   Princess Etta, one of my mini friends from swim class is sick and won’t be there, but we wish that she feels better, and are thinking of her…  we will miss that Great Grandma Sally who just had eye surgery recovers too, and hope she knows that  we wish she and Grumpy were close enough to meet for breakfast too.   One day I will be back in Washington to see her and we will go for eggs like before!    Nana has gotten many holiday cards wishing you and daddy good luck on the remaining days in the Land of Sand, and hopes that everyone really knows just how grateful we all are!   So until tomorrow Mom and Dad, please know, I am as always,

Your Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

I love that DECEMBER IS BIRTHDAY MONTH...

Guillianna!
