In Northern Michigan…. it is soooo pretty!

Dear Mom and Dad,

So this was a field trip kind of day.   Last night I went to the airport to pick up Great Grandma Sally, who was so funny, and made me laugh and smile.  By the time we got back home we had to get into bed, because Great Grandma was here on a business trip… she had to go up to Northern Michigan for important GREAT GRANDMA STUFF, and she needed a little company.   Great Grandma is 80 years old, and this was a very hard trip for her…

She has so many things going on, and had to make the long journey alone… she misses Grumpy, but he had to stay back and take care of not only Brody their puppy, but he is babysitting for his daughter too… Grumpy’s daughter is out of the country and her kitty, is at CAMP GRUMPY just like I am at Camp Nana…

She was so very tired, and sad, but you would never know it.   She took me Nana, Aunt Mikayla and Uncle Nick out for dinner, since we all went with her to try to help her, but she really had to do everything alone.  

She says hello to you and daddy, and hopes you come home safe very soon.

I was so good on the trip up to Leland.  I love being outside and this place is so pretty…

Uncle Nick and Aunt Mikayla took me for a walk in the garden… so many things for me to examine and look around at… and this being outside thing is awesome!

We go home tomorrow… and Great Grandma will have to stay for a bit to tidy up a bunch of loose ends but we will leave her a car and then travel back to Camp Nana.   Until then remember I am your LITTLE MISS ADORABLE, your daughter,

Today Great Grandma Sally Comes to See Me!

Dear Mom and Dad,

Tonight I will meet my Mommy’s Grandma Sally!  She is flying in from Washington state and we are picking her up.

Today I packed up my suitcase to go spend a few days with Great Grandma Sally up in Northern Michigan.  We are visiting where she used to live and then coming back to visit at Camp Nana a while.

Nana hasn’t seen her mom in a while so it will be nice to visit and I will be showing off my Princess Personality!

Dear Mom and Dad…

It is Monday, and I have been busy… do you want to see how my day was?   I will show you.   You see, Great Aunt Pam finally found the perfect baby cookies for me.  They are organic, and made special for me nutritiously speaking of coarse but most important… THEY ARE AWESOME.    So I have so many things to show you…. from my first cookie to me holding a bottle, and enjoying the great outdoors!

I got to go outside a bit which I absolutely love, and yes you can probably see , Aunt Mikayla got too much sun yesterday at the ball park… but I stayed out of the sun!

I am too cute… and look I am ready for a picnic…

I go outside and smile…

I love when there is the tiniest of a breeze, and it goes accross my face…

I just giggle when that happens…

No WIND… NO SUN IN MY FACE, just a little breeze…

Now I sound like Goldilocks… or Nana No Locks..

But I am a bit particular..Princess Particular sounds so MUCH nicer than ‘spoiled’.

Look at the skill here… I am just awesome!

Nana says, I am too cute for words, but yet she still runs on and on….someone stop her!

So this is how you do it…

You start by licking it….

AND I MEAN   A WHOLE LOT!

and YOU HAVE TO be licking it everywhere…

I am on my way to cookie town!

Following thorough inspection, you proceed to the’2′ HANDED method!

I am telling you these things… are AWESOME!   Want some….?  So what if a little gets up the old nose…. that is what tubby time is for, and wash cloths….   I am gettin’ jiggy with my cookie… and am not afraid of a little residue…I mean how many opportunities does a princess get to just be herself…and throw caution to the wind… clearly this is not a cool move on my first date, or when I am 20… but it is VERY cool now, and I make it look fun!  Matter of fact when you and daddy get home from the LAND OF SAND, we are having a cookie party and you guys can chow one just like me… for Nana and the Beast to capture for my scrapbook!

When it is all said and done you have ONE HAPPY BELLY!  How do I look?

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

Dear Mom and Dad…  well here I am, going to see Tigers at Comerica Park.   So I am thinking zoo here…. but no… no zoo… and no ‘tigers’.   I went to see baseball and it was fun.   (remind me to tell you about the Nana Zoo –  seems one of the crazy kitties, needs PROZAC  to deal with kitty stress…. “kitty stress”…. wow, how weird is that… I call her ‘Prozac Cat’ lovingly of course, but back to my letter)

I am sending letter of love tonight in honor of my dad.  It is Father’s Day, and I wish for you (and  mom too, FOR YOU BOTH EVERYDAY)  a day of smiles, of peace, and if even only for one brief moment, I wish to give you a glimpse of that little glimmer in my eyes, the smile on my face that tells you …. I love you.  I know in the land of sand it can be hard to see it, and I am sure doing this (being away from your princess)  is probably one of the harder things you will ever have to do.  Even if I do plan on challenging you a bit periodically through life… I am here to say ‘Keep your chin up’ and when you want nothing more than to hold me… your little princess I want you to  close your eyes, and picture us all together again not just for a visit but the way you and I hope it will be … that we all see bits and pieces of our happily ever after.   Picture me in school, and you watching me in a school musical performance!   You will be smiling so big and nothing will ever be as fun or exciting for you again.  

 Also,  I thought about it, and I can offer this to help you too..!  Do you remember Daddy,  how after I would eat, I had a bit of the princess pukey thingy going on…. and you really didn’t think my formula was smelling so good… well, maybe just for you, and for Father’s Day, I will spit up on Nana a lot today at camp just to make this day easier for you to get through!  I mean, believe me, No Problem, I would do it..if I thought for one moment it would make you laugh…  I am awesome at thinking up creative things like that to help you out… and … maybe have a little fun with it at the same time… Aunt Arri, well she doesn’t like the cottage cheese ‘re-gurge’ thingy too much!  Certainly I can do this, and think of it as nothing more than  one of my princess responsibilities.  Hey, KEEPING MY MOM AND DAD UP BEAT AND IN A GOOD FRAME OF MIND, because ‘ I AM A HUMAN SPIRIT STICK’!

Poppy returned from San Francisco, early this morning, he flew all night and we met him to pick him up for breakfast.   With everyting Great Aunt Nori had on her plate with the things in California… she sent Poppy home with a gift FOR ME… I plan on wearing them for an upcoming photo shoot, but for now THANK YOU GREAT AUNT NORI AND FAMILY!   Then it was off to see a baseball game.   Poppy and five of his kids… since mommy and daddy were unable to partake… but Mommy sent Poppy the very nicest email Fathers’s day wishes which made his day.  Here I am in a shot of the day, playing PATTI-CAKE in my Tiger Cap!
