I am so adorable, I can make a tee shirt PRINCESS LIKE...

Dear Mom and Dad,

Today is Tuesday, and I just had to tell you, that I am holding my toys now and love things with different textures.   I love the little soft rattles, shaped like a bunny and a turtle.  I love Julibear, and when I see my bottle I put both hands on it and get so excited.   Everything goes right to my mouth….

I can eat this littel quacker... just watch me...

I am being so good at camp, and always am a great model for Nana to get photos for you.  You are going to be so very proud of me.

I think that my pediatrician will be very happy with me when I go.  My tummy is doing better, and I am growing so much.   I do all the things a four month old should even though I should only be doing things of a three month old!   My “corrected” age…. would be three months…. but since I was in such a rush to have my ‘MEET AND GREET’ with mommy and daddy, I came one entire month early.   My pediatrician will love that I am acting so mature…. and it will be good to avoid more tests on my belly.   I am just plain HAPPY about that.

Today we stayed in, AGAIN, but it gives me a chance to finish off the TEXAS/MICHIGAN/CALIFORNIA or Texigania Cold that I had.  It was a doosey… wasn’t it Mimi…   hope daddy is better now too.

Poppy went to the post office today to deliver one of the few last care packages for Uncle Nick since he soon cannot get any more mail… but my friends at the Post Office need not worry, because as soon as my mommy and daddy have an address, we will send them care packages too.  I told Nana, send daddy some of my delicious formula… she said he would prefer cookies… what ever.. I said send daddy and mommy something of mine with my baby smell on it… she thought I was meaninga diaper… GROSS Nana!   So daddy do not be surprised if in the mail one day, you open a box in front of  all your Army guy friends, and there is a pink blanky, that smells just like me.    And when you sleep at night, you can rub it up against your nose, and you will feel me right there by your side.

Don’t you worry though and don’t think Nana will ALLOW YOU TO MISS A THING, her and that camera.. well they are like INSEPARABLE… If I burp she wants to “catch” it…. Geez…., I am told, that while I am growing, and Nana is just trying to keep you up to speed, there is sooooo much growing I will do AFTER you return… I will have only just begun to make both of your worlds revolve around my GROWING…. just wait and see…   I will still like bedtime stories, I will want to ride on daddy’s shoulders, and hold mommy’s hand…. I will want to play in sand, and build castles, and I will want to swim and ride on toys… and I will want you to blow on my food when it is hot, and I will need you to rock me, and love me 24/7   this job of taking care of my princess needs, well you will have my lifetime  to deal with all that I will bring to you and daddy… Nana says, 3 months, 5 months, 1 year, 4 years, 6 years, 13 years, 15 years, 23 years, and so on and so on, us kids, keep the mommy’s and the daddy’s of the world BUSY, and you will one day, look back like she does and wonder where did a lifetime go…  right now… she and Poppy are trying hard to keep you up to speed…. in the know and a part of my every single day, and the little details that mommy’s and daddy’s love about wee ones, but in the bigger picture, you have me and my princess drama…. always… we will get through this blip of time, and get to the life you both have worked so hard for… soon.     Love Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Guillianna!

Rainy days and Monday’s …

Poppy and I....

Dear Mom and Dad,

Today  is rainy and it is Monday but unlike the song… that says, “rainy days and Mondays always get me down, (according to Nana) I am not down, as a matter of fact… I was sitting in my swing today and I WAS LAUGHING OUT LOUD at Barney and Friends… the more they sang and danced the more I laughed.    I am getting so grown up…  It was so funny.

I am cute even when I am tired...

I had a good day.   I slept for six hours last night, and have been eating like a champ.  I am so sad that Mimi has caught the once Texas bug, then the new version making it a Texigan cold… and from what I hear it is now a Texigania cold….hopefully she will be back to herself soon…. sorry Mimi!

Sleeping on Nana.... so soft and squishy.... I know daddy is leaving on FRIDAY, so I send him extra hugs and kisses every day… I hope you can read my love letters when you reach Kuwait… I love you daddy.

I am dreaming about when we are all back together in our own place, and there is no more Kuwait and no more camp… but either you are going to have to plump up a bit, so you are soft and squishy like Nana… or… maybe Nana needs to go to boot camp so she can be strong and muscles….

What ever it is, it will be okay, by the time you return I will be ready to sleep in your arms … even if you aren’t squishy like Nana… she says… being in Daddy and Mommys arms again is the best feeling ever no matter what… and Nana NEVER lies.  Love and kisses from Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

THIS IS WHAT TUCKERED OUT LOOKS LIKE....

Guillianna!  (P.S.   Nana says, thisis what TUCKERED OUT LOOKS LIKE!)

Saturday & Sunday but guess what today is….

Poppy and I... hangin at the office...

Dear Mom and Dad…

I know Nana did not get my love letter to you on line Saturday, but she and I were SO busy.  Poppy even had to get me into my jammers and put me to bed last night.   It was so much fun,  I spent time at Poppy’s office and he pushed me all over the place in my stroller, Nana had been putting off some things while you and Dad were here, and then Mimi and Poppa came so before you knew it, she had 10 days worth of stuff to do and let’s just say… I keep her busy too.  But last night she got done at about 1:00 am…and is so sorry she didn’t hit the internet before midnight.   Here we are… me in my Tigers tee … and Poppy a bit tired.  He and I are both feeling better from our colds, but he had one heck of a day.   He had double duty since he had taken part of last Saturday’s patients and scheduled it a bit lighter.  But all is well.

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE POPPY'S SMILE....

I heard that you and daddy are moved out of our house, and ready to deploy.  Daddy is leaving before you and I hope you both are going to just think of me and how great it will be when we are all back together again.

Happy Birthday Mimi!

GUESS WHAT TODAY IS…. today is special because it is my Mimi’s birthday.   Happy Birthday Mimi…  I love you, and was so happy to be with you last weekend.  Hard to believe it was a week ago already.   I hope you have a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and that your year is full of all the things a Mimi wants.   You and my Nana are born the same year… so you and she have something in common BESIDES ME!   I am glad you were born, because just like Nana, without your mommy having you, and you having Tucker, there would be no ME!   If you really want a treat… I bet I can get Nana to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MIMI, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MIMI… or maybe on second thought – that as a good idea- hmmmm not so much… just know everyone here at camp… wishes you the happiest birthday ever… and well I think… this day calls for cake…. at least that is what the Aunt’s here think… any excuse for dessert.

ME WITH MY MIMI AND MY POPPA SINGING TO ME!  Hey dad, I think you are lucky that your mom was born for all the obvious reasons… but add to it that you have her smile… you have her dimples…. and me… well I am gettin’  in on that action… we ARE really lucky aren’t we and I think it is sooooo cool.   Hey- Gramonster Nelson, thanks for making it all possible…. my mom says, she now knows all about that labor stuff, and carrying me for all those months… kudos to you from my mommy and daddy and me… we are the lucky ones who  reaped the benefit of your having my Mimi… and TO BE COMPLETELY HONEST…. I never get enough of being everyone’s little princess, especially those Mimi types, they kiss and cuddle like CRAZY.

Today was Sunday at Camp, and there is other big news…   FOR MIMI’s BIRTHDAY,   I GAVE NANA AND POPPY A PRESENT… silly huh…but it’s true… I slept for six hours straight.   Nana almost called the press… she was so proud of me!

I am thinking about you both, and hoping you had a nice Sunday together since it will be the last one for a while.   I will always be your Little Miss Adorable, love your daughter,

Guillianna!

1929… 80 YEARS OLD….

Me...pretending it is not late....

Dear Mom and Dad,

Today is April 17th, 2009, and on this date 80 years ago, my Great Grandma Sally was born.

Great Grandma Sally

She was born the year the US Stock exchange crashed…. the first ten years of her life were to survive what history books call THE GREAT DEPRESSION.   I tell you this because we all have stories and we all have things that we have to endure to enjoy the nicer things of life…. We have to endure being separated for a short while… and when we are togetehr again, it will be HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN…After the depression, and so many things in her life,  Great Grandma Sally has done far more than survive… she adopted Nana, who adopted you, and now… THERE IS A GUILLIANNA…. for everyone to love and adopt into their hearts.

We both have polka dots... my great grandma and I!

In Grandma Sally’s 80 years so much has happened.   The world is a different place.   Herbert Hoover was president in 1929 and he was the very first president to have a telephone on his desk…. prior to this it was in a booth outside the president’s office.   Communication in the past eighty years has really changed.   Now I am able to communicate with you on the World Wide Web, and send you love letters to keep us close even while you work hard in Iraq.   In 1963, the president put the first hot line between the US and Russia in his office (following the missile crisis), now I have a hot line to you… and I am not even a president.   And cameras…. well take a good look at the photos Nana keeps taking… Grandma Sally saw the first hand held cameras in 1948… and now Nana can’t seem to get one out of her hand.   YOU WOULD THINK THAT TODAY WHEN I WAS LOOKING QUITE ADORABLE, AT GG-ma Sharyns house Nana would have had her camera… but no … she didn’t get even on picture… what is up with that…

Grandma Sally has seen the development of many things that make my world possible… x-rays… well they help Poppy help people and make it so he can give me CAMP NANA.   In 1953 television, which I love to watch baby Einstein on… and while hairspray in 1955 is not something I currently need, it seems something a princess will eventually use… and nylons, and radio, and transistor radios, microwaves, LP records in 1948, to music CD’s downloaded from iTunes… and cell phones, text messaging and a bazillion other things.   Since the 1920’s we now have bandaids, and insulin…( THANK GOODNESS since Nana uses her fair share of the stuff)  We have seen all kinds of new transportation and invented helicoptors in 1939  gone from propeller planes to  jets… a most important toy the SLINKY  came in 1945… AND E-MAIL in 1972… right after pocket calculators and the micro processor of 1971…  well… enough history I guess, I was just making the point that there are so many wonderful things Great Grandma Sally has seen, but THE MOST WONDERFUL OF ALL WILL SURELY BE THE DAY YOU COME HOME FROM IRAQ AND HOLD ME IN YOUR ARMS, AND NANA SNAPS A PICTURE WITH HER ‘HAND HELD CAMERA’ AND PUTS IT UP ON THE ‘WORLD WIDE WEB’.

Great Grandma in 1967

Happy 80th Birthday Great Grandma Sally, I cannot wait to meet you and until I do please remember… the greatest day ever was the day you adopted my Nana… because of that, she found my mom and I now I have born to a country they serve and protect for my future.   I don’t know what I will do when I grow up, or how many children I may have, but I do know that the labor of your love, made my life possible.    HAPPY HEALTHY BIRTHDAY… LOVE YOUR LITTLE GUGU BUG!

Today was spent visiting Great Grandma Sharyn, or my GG-ma as I like to call her.   I got all dressed and ready to go… made the trip there, and not a single photo… not a single one… when we got home Nana tried  to slip in a few pics, but it’s clear, I am tired, it is late, and not the best photo op… who did she think she was kidding… I say… write … protest and let her know you won’t put up with such silliness… I mean if she expects me to put on a smile and act like it is – all the middle of the dayand stuff.., as if… not…. or that it is my happy time, and for me to ACT like the princess that I am, well then she better not try to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes and slip in some late night photo THAT CLEARLY SHOWS I AM EXHAUSTED FROM MY DAY OF PRINCESS VISITING …. shame on Nana…. you are busted!   I told my mom on you, and I will not hesitate to tattle on you in the future…

Happy Birthday to you ... Happy Birthday to you...

I think I set her straight though now mom…   until tomorrow, I love you , and and I miss you, and I hope you can still have sweet dreams of me, even if Nana didn’t get my smiles and cuteness on the web from earlier today…. I am always your Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Guillianna!
