Record Highs In Michigan! AND yes..I can see my LEGS and ARMS, and I feel ‘SUPER’… Yay!

Little hands! So sweet!Dear Mom and Dad,

It is Friday, and today, most all the snow here melted.   Nana did not put me into twenty layers of Nanook of the North clothing and I actually think I smell spring in the air.  She tells me it is a common Michigan trick, and not be be fooled, that sure as tomorrow is coming, there will most likely be more snow too…  at least more cold!   Did you forget to mention she’s a little on the “half empty side”, not that I would call her “negative Nana” but geez… way to burst my bubble.

It was almost seventy here… I hope the pictures Nana took come out good, because you can actually see my little legs for a change….

Today I was so happy, I got LOVE LETTERS from some of my family.  All the way from California, my great grandma wrote me.  My great Papa and Grandma Sharyn too.   This is so great because Nana says, I can keep your letters and she can put them into a memory book for me.  I have a great Aunt Kris here too, who sent me mail.   ANYONE WHO LEAVES ME A MESSAGE, it will eventually get posted if you want it to be.   Nana, can be a little slow “approving” them for public viewing sometimes (probably since she and the camera are usually PRE-OCCUPIED!  … but they are being recieved and I thank you!

So yesterday, she was a little stingy with the photo shoot, we were limited to a tiny little camera phone, but today, I have more for you.  TRUST  ME I HAVE MORE FOR YOU…. MORE AND MORE AND MORE..

So sweet!

Since I have gained one pound since last week, I am in the clear from the pediatrician for a week.  Yee ha!  (Texan for what the midwesterners would express as yippee or yay!) To be honest I could probably think of better descriptives to express the elation of NO DOCTOR VISITS, but in my PRINCESS DIALECT,  I think I will opt for “SUPER”!    My Poppy loves his work.   He loves his patients, and they make him so happy.   There is one patient who has a very sweet personality, who makes him smile when ever he has the chance to see her as a patient…  she always uses this word to express herself when she is happy.  It definately makes him smile… so I think  – I too, will say…. No extra doctors, or visits to a doctor makes me feel ABSOLUTELY ‘super’!

Here are some pictures, really mom and dad I am doing ‘super’, you will be so proud… and I hope seeing me, will make all my friends and family feel ‘super’ too… Love always, Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

GuilliannaDon't make me angry... you wouldn't like me when I get angry...

P.S.  (I am so cute)

Who am I kidding, I even smile in my sleep.  Don’t by this tough girl routine for a second.  It the actress in me… I EVEN SMILE IN MY SLEEP you see … I do have actual legs, haven’t seen much of these in MICHIGAN… other than bath time… usually bundled in thermal underclothes for fear I may get a “draft”,  I feel free… and yes mom I still love being naked.

What am I thinking about?

At the end of the day, I am a Tuckette… and am usually just totally tuckered out.   Hope you are not too tired from all your Army deployment preparation classes.   I will write you tomorrow… and then you know what that means… IT WILL BE SUNDAY AGAIN…. ALL HANDS ON GUILLIANNA DAY…. SIX PEOPLE MEANS TWELVE HANDS TO MAKE MY LITTLE BOTTOM PAMPERED… ( ha, a pun, my bottom is always in Pampers…. ) xoxoxoxoxoxox  Gugu Bee   Oh, and note to self… ruffled socks?  Nana, come on, MY MOM HATED WEARING THOSE THINGS…. now you have me at a disadvantage, I don’t quite know how to remove them and hmmmm doesn’t it  really seem unfair that I don’t have a say… Looks like Nana is guilty of a little ‘MANAGED CARE -giving with no freedom of choice action herself…. who can I call to have a “moment” with about this… ?    What do you think about RUFFLED SOCKS NOW MOM?  Nana still thinks they are cute… and its not like I am too big for them yet…   I will write more tomorrow, till then I love you…Ruffled socks?

Childrens Hospital of Michigan and Guillianna

Dear Mom and Dad,  it’s me… your little Gugu Bee…

Today was a big day, Tricare – Northern Region finally approved me to see the pediatric cardiology specialist!  I think it had a little bit to do with the fact that Nana, had a “moment”  with them.  She asked for the first and last name so that she could document whom exactly was denying  a 12 week old with situs inversus, (or as I like to call it, “modified princess parts” ) an evaluation of her princess parts…  seems after hearing Nana’s perspective, the nurse manager agreed I should be seen, and did so in record time… the very next day… which was TODAY… a referral appeared.   The pediatricians office manager also went to task for me, and after two weeks and more phone calls than I can surely count, the consult was mine to be had.

So we went to Children’s hospital and spent our day getting a comprehesive evaluation.  My new cardiologist was VERY PLEASED with all my princess parts, and in particular my princess heart.  Strong, and other than being placed on the RIGHT side… no concerns at this time.   GREAT NEWS… and let me tell you …. I WAS A CHAMP… not a single tear was shed, and yes I was quite impressive with the extreme level of cuteness I displayed to all of the staff.   Smiles for everyone.

Nana’s moment has passed… and she is now very happy to know I am doing well.   My princess heart and princess parts are all part of making me extra special just like you have known about me from the beginning.  Uncle Nick was right for you not to worry!   I know this will be a shocker, but Nana did in fact get a photo…    WITH HER PHONE NO LESS…

Getting it all checked...and not even a whimper..

I was awesome…. you would be so very proud.   Nana and I sat in a room full of patients.   We saw patients who had visible scars from surgery on their hearts, and all kinds of serious conditions.  It was an emotional day, but WE HAD THE BEST NEWS WE COULD HAVE EVER HOPED FOR TODAY… and I wanted to share it with you and all my loyal readers.  Yes, my princess parts are strong and working well, and I am as special and unique as any princess should be…  and today I weighed in at 11.bs 12oz. !   I am growing and doing great.

Aunt Pam, who is officially the THURSDAY captain of  TEAM GUILLIANNA, still came out to visit me, and she held me and cuddled me, and made resting in her arms so easy.   THANK YOU AGAIN FOR MY THURSDAY VISIT…. and I can’t wait to see you again.   I was pretty exhausted tonight but the laughter and happiness makes being away from mom and dad a bit easier.  You both would be so glad to know how much love is around me all the time.

So Mom and Dad, we almost have another week gone bye, and are just a bit closer than before to being together… remember, I love you both very much, as always, Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Guillianna!

Can you believe, I am 3 months old!

THE TUCKERED OUT PRINCESS On her 3rd Princess-versary

Dear Mom and Dad,

Hi – from the northern region, CHILLY MICHIGAN… and yes guys it is still very COLD here.   Today was another stay at home day.  Nana and I had a very good day, everything was perfect and I was a soooo good.  There was only one exception and it had to do with trying to get TRICARE to authorize my specialist appointment.   I know you had to take off work today to go and speak to Tricare, and I am sorry… but I thank you.  It looks like tomorrow we will have answers, and everything will be good.

I had dinner tonight with Papa Alan before he leaves the COLD for the warmth in Great Grandma Sharyns arms and sunny Florida.   Smart guy.   I was a perfect princess as usual.   Believe it or not… I played so hard with Nana today at home that I was TUCKERED OUT.   Ha, I love that … makes me feel like a little TUCKETTE.   I hope you both enjoyed the 3rd princess-versary, and kept in mind that it’s the day each and every month that I thank you for giving me life and loving me.

Tomorrow I will be visiting Children’s Hospital where they are checking out my “special” princess heart, lungs, liver and stomach.   My appointment  is in the afternoon, and Nana was told it can last several hours, but the minute we are done she will call you.

I love you both very VERY much, and I am sending hugs and kisses your way tonight and always,

Love, Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Guillianna

What is a Princess-versary? It’s a “THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME A PRINCESS” DAY

 Happy Princess-Versary Mom!

Dear Mom and Dad…

Tonight Daddy is on Staff Duty, which means he will be working all night, and just like old times he will be up all night.   Memories huh dad!

Since you will be sleeping tomorrow and so very tired dad, I sent mom the princess-versary treat today, so she would not be alone tonight and so that she knows what a lucky little princess I am for having such strong parents.   Mom, you should have received some beautiful pink flowers from your little princess with a special card telling you how much you are loved, and thanking you for giving birth to me.

Today was fun, I played with Nana all day.   I napped for  about 30 minutes in the middle, but am starting to really spend more and more time familiarizing myself with things around me.  I love looking at the big black and white dog they call Mr. Griff.   His head is as big as my whole body, and he lays next to me where ever I am.

Kitties are fun to watch too.   I love walking around with Nana, and looking at all the pictures on the wall and am especially fond of the big black and white ones.

Hey Mom, Thank you for giving me birth!

Tomorrow I am 3 months old.   I am celebrating this day the way all little princess’ do.   I celebrate you… BECAUSE with out you, and all the care you took carrying me in your tummy, without you having the pain of the C-section, with out any of the sacrifices you make and are making, this little princess would not be…  THANK YOU SO MUCH.  Nana said you would not know that princess-versaries belong to mommies and daddies who give everything they can in life to make dreams possible for their children.  Until now, mommy didn’t always believe in LOVE, and how much parents love children.  NOW SHE KNOWS… THE LOVE WE HAVE FOR CHILDREN IS UNCONDITIONAL, AND NEVER ENDING.

You work so hard to make sure that I will have a “princess” life, and I want you to know that gratitude, and being thankful  IS  WHAT PRINCESS-VERSARIES ARE ALL ABOUT.   So here I am … Saying thank you …to mommy and to daddy… for making ME your little princess.

Nana told me, everyday is Guillianna day, but on the fourth day of each month during  my first year of life, I must remember to tell you thank you mommy for being so awesome.  Thank you for giving me life…

Oh no, there is that camera again!

And thank you daddy, for loving mommy and me, and working to make our futures strong and full of love.

Love always, Little Miss Adorable, your daughter

Guillianna!
