I Love Being Independent, Kind of….and Mr. Quackers, he protects me!

HEY THERE MOM AND DAD... FROM ME TO YOU... XOXOXOXO

Dear Mom and Dad,

How are you two doing?    I love feeding myself, those little puff pieces, but getting them in the right place, and not stuck to my fingers or face and even dropping them from time to time, well it  is not easy.

Step one pick up puff, and put in mouth like toys and all other objects.

Yea, I know, not the most flattering of shots, but, the important part, is I did it, and eventually I even got the little stuff.

I DID IT!

I do not, however,  like holding my own bottle. Or the sippy cup.   I prefer to have someone else hold it for me.  But when I want to be independent, I am…  for instance when I want to get down and crawl I kick and push until someone lets me do it.  You could say, I know when I want, when I want it.  There are other times, when I just want to be held.    I also know how to fire a warning shot when I want someone to pay attention to me.   I call out, in a fairly loud yell if someone walks away or by me that I wanted to stop and talk to me… I let them know.  I wave to to people when I am around them, and get that ‘puzzled’ look when everyone doesn’t wave back.   The other day, I was at swiming, and I was looking pretty cool, but I noticed some of the spectators were talking with each other, and not looking at me… I let them know… and in my little “warning shot” squeal, I got them to look.   It’s an art really, I know,   and special talent… which Nana says is cute for an eleven month old, but she thinks the cuteness may wear off as I grow… I say, NO WAY,  I know what I want, and when I want it… and I have no problem going after it.   Here I am giving a ‘warning shot’ letting someone know I want something….

Quackers has something to tell me.... What is it Quackers?

Getting ready to call out to someone... hey you, I want you ...hey there...

Here I am, jibber jabbering away… lots and lots to say.

Above I am holding my little army duck Mr. Quackers,

He goes places with me all the time…. tubby time, in my little red car… in my diaper bag…. he is a good buddy…I really love chomping on him!

Oh, he has a secret for me… hold on ….

What ? You don't say.... REEEEALLLLY?

Mr. Quackers says, you and daddy do not know it, but he is wearing your uniform….and he says… he is here keeping me company, until you come to pick me up, he is my “battle buddy” just like you guys have as soldiers!  Cool huh?

Other times, I am quiet and reserved.    I am not talking, I am a little thinker… and sit quietly just absorbing everything I can around me…but one thing is for certain, whether or not I am feeling talkative, or quiet, silly or snuggly… I am always, your Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Sitting passified!

Happy Birthday Poppy!

Hanging out with the birthday boy... getting tips for my special day! I got it Poppy... smile, smile, smile!

Dear Mom and Dad:

I am so happy that I didn’t forget Poppy’s Birthday! It seems my little helpers (Mom and Dad) sent my Poppy a birthday treat all the way from the land of sand and they signed the card, Love Guillianna!  Making me feel like a princess, but do you know what, Poppy knows that his daughter – with everything she has on her plate, remembered his birthday, and that made him smile… so I am sending a special THANKS to you from FROM POPPY!

Today, we stayed at camp.   It was a GREAT DAY,  I played, and then got ready to meet Great Papa, and Great Grandma Sharyn with Great Uncle Dave for dinner with Poppy.    Uncle Nick was able to go to a Red Wing Game with Great Grandpa Ray, and Great Aunt Pam joined us for dinner!   All the other campers went too… it was nice, and I was adorable.  Great Aunt Kris was at a hockey tourney and we all hope cousin Bryan does GREAT and makes it to the tournement finals.

Can you tell what I am thinking? So again, there are so many cute photos of me, it is hard to choose, but Nana and the beast seem to find me making all kinds of faces..

and then, she shares them with you two…

Hoping that the MANY FACES OF GUILLIANNA, bring smiles to your faces…

My serious or concerned look, I am telling you, these eyes watch and see everything!

I am a sponge, the more I see the more I learn…

I laugh all the time....

I have an awesome smile don’t I ?

Look at me go.... WHERE WILL MY FEET TAKE ME?

Laughing Out Loud!

In addition, I looked GREAT, felt FABULOUS, AND WAS AS ALWAYS, Your Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

We Need to Talk…

Getting answers!

Dear Mom and Dad,

Can we talk?

Life sure is complicated!

Sometimes life can get crazy and complicated, for everyone, even us babies.  There are always decisions to make, and then… we live with the decisions we make.   Like to play with a yellow ball, or not.   Maybe red instead.  No, it is not always easy, and not always fun, but that is when Poppy’s half full theory comes in.  Here at camp this is what I learned.   Poppy say’s the glass is always half FULL!   (he say’s momma will remember this from when she was small and he always kept us together and smiling)

Look at me, I love big girl cups!

Love to pretend that Nana gives me REAL LIQUID IN THIS THING!

Then sometimes when you think "hey!" What? Isn't this suppossed to be half full?

So when you feel like your glass is half empty Mom and Dad, Poppy, who nibbles away at his worries…says… keep on nibbling…

This is me nibbling away!

Nibble, Nibble, Nibble!   Well, when you really want something…. and you are patient, and smart… Poppy says, keep your eye on the prize….

Hmmmm.... one cute little yellow ball.... I want it!

Look at me, just crawlng crawling crawlng... something I could not do just a short time ago!

Look at me.... I made it, and I am still going...

Me and my little yellow ball!Poppy says –  eventually we get what we are after  – so long as we keep nibbling away… I believe him.  Do you remember when Nana said I was your POG.  I am your little pot of gold, I am waiting to be in your arms here in Michigan.  No matter how long it takes, or how they change your plans.  I am the pot of gold sitting at the end of the rainbow. HOW DO I KNOW THIS… WELL LOOK below… Poppy is right…. I “nibbled, and nibbled” at trying to crawl.  Next thing I knew, I was A MOVIN’!

Not only did I get my little yellow ball, I found more... a pot of baby gold!

Look, I know there is something special waiting for me, so I keep going!

OMG, is this really all mine?

I can’t believe this… not only a little yellow ball, but look at all the things I can do… (and think of all the things we will do)

Hey, am I standing! Look at me! Before you know it, you will find me…

You will have made your promises all good,

and you will have given me the life you always dreamed of,

before you know it you daddy and I will be on our own feet!

HEY AM I ON TWO FEET?

WOO WOO!  Poppy was right, and look at all the amazing things in store for me!

Look at my Baby Pot Of Gold, it is truly amazing.   Just like your POG, ‘me”, full of amazing things and worth every single “nibble” it takes to get back to me.  So, for today, please know this pot of gold knows some days are harder than others, and there are some things you think you may never get though… but AT CAMP NANA, it is my experience that the glass IS half full, even when you think it is empty.   THERE IS A POT OF GOLD, and Nana and Poppy with all the other campers are hangin with me, waiting for you to nibble your way home!  Today and always, I am your Little Miss Adorable,  your daughter, your pot of gold,

Look at this... amazing! My pot of baby gold is Just like your pot of gold TRULY AMAZING AND WORTH EVERY SINGLE NIBBLE IT TAKES TO GET TO IT!

Guillianna!

GI Guge!

Me and my ACU's

Dear Mom and Dad…

I did not go to GoldFish mini tonight, and I missed my Mini friends, but I will be there next week.   Uncle Nick and Poppy had a special plan for Poppy’s birthday, so they could not take me, all the other campers had school and Great Papa offered, and Prince Colin’s Mommy and Daddy (one of my Goldfish Mini buddies) offered to go in with me too, but good ole No Fun Nana, put a damper on it, since she could not get me there.

She says sorry.  She says I will be there next week since I will need some excercise before my first TURKEY dinner!

Hard to believe Thanksgiving is week away.  I hear that I will get mashed taters and turkey and all kinds of stuff, so I am pretty excited.   Nana says, that once Thanksgiving comes, I WILL BE REALLY CLOSE TO SEEING YOU MOM AND DAD… SO THAT IS THE BEST NEWS OF ALL!

Such good news that we will be together soon!

I keep trying to tell Nana, look I have the right clothes, and I am the best little “ARMY STRONG” baby, but alas she says, babies belong here while mommies and daddies are finishing work in the land of sand.   She tells me that you and daddy need to see my face everyday to help you finish your promises and come home.  So… I oblige her and Mr. Nikon with photos…

My latest game!

This is my latest game, I have a bunch of DVD’s that Nana stacks up and I knock over.  It goes on for quite sometime, and I must say, that I cry when she puts them away.   I don’t usually suck on this passy, but today, my teeth really bother me, and I am grinding my bottom tooth against my top tooth so, biting this thing is better.

As you can see, I get pretty serious about my DVD's.

Today was a ‘stay at camp’ day.  It was good.  I am going to be very glad when the whole tooth thing calms down…until then Nana is keeping me as happy as can be.

Hey where are my NIGHT VISION GOGGLES?

Do you remember when Aunt Arri put the NIGHT vision goggles on me, wow, I could watch this video with them on!    I hope your day was good, and that you are as excited as I am about the upcoming weeks….

I love you both, and until tomorrow, please know I am your Little Miss Adorable, your Little GI Guge, your daughter,

Until tomorrow! I LOVE YOU BOTH!

Guillianna!
