Getting into the swing of things…

Dear Mom and Dad,

Today is Friday, and I have not decided when or where I should give you your little ‘present’.   I may have an good plan, but I am still working on the details.   As a general rule a princess can be quite creative when she wants to be.  I want my present to be something you will remember the whole time you are in Iraq –  so I have to be sure it is just the perfect time. 

We had a great day today… Nana had so many things to get done, and you and Daddy got to do all kinds of stuff with me to make me smile…I bet YOU are TUCKERED OUT.   (Nana is a cheese ball! That makes her smile everytime she says it… she thinks Im a little TUCKETTE!)

Today I went out with Mom and Dad to visit GG-ma, and hang at her place for a while.   I have a Nana, a Mimi, a GG and a Granmonster… Crazy huh!   Lovin it though… Daddy drove me ‘across the river and through the woods’, …. nah, maybe it was  down the highway… and to Farmington Hills… to see GG and Papa Alan!   And yes, I was adored as usual.   I love the car, so I don’t mind going, but my butt gets tired of that position after a while.  

I came back to camp Nana, who by the way, was sooooo far behind in doing some stuff for Poppy, that she missed our dinner date… (something about quiet time and not cooking dinner for 8 and playing …..blah blah blah) but do you know though what that REALLY  means… IT MEANS, NO SINGING, AND A FEW LESS KISSES… which OKAY,  even if I am a princess – can get to be a little much… sometimes Nana kisses me so many times  ‘for all the people who can’t’  that… I confuse her with MR GRIFF.   Rumor has it Mr. Griff, (the St. Bernard) has more slobber and drool than any pet Nana has ever seen… I guess Nana did not have a Nana like her… !   She gives me kisses for  Great Aunt Nori, for  Great Aunt Kris,  Great Aunt Pam,  Great Aunt Karen, Great Aunt Linda, Great Aunt Debbie,  Great Aunt Michelle, etc….. all the Great Uncles, Aunt Samantha, cuz Cody, GG Connie and of course TRIPLE KISSES FROM…. My Mimi AND My Poppa!   THE LIST IS ENDLESS, AND who says she is not taking advantage… I mean how does she know if they all really want to be kissin’ on me…?  Oh yeah, I forgot, I AM  AFTERALL   ‘IRRESISTABLE’…    Well, she means well I guess, but she is a kisser…

So here I am in my DADDY’S GIRL OUTFIT HE PICKED JUST FOR ME….HIS PRINCESS, What do you think?   Cute huh?

Our first day in Michigan together!

Dear Mom and Dad,

It was so nice to see you when I woke up this morning.   I had such a nice morning with you playing with me, and I hope you liked my lady bug dress… Mommy  told Nana  it was one of her favorites, so Nana put it on me to surprise you this morning…

I am so cute…

Here are some more really adorable pictures of me today…. and yes I had a wardrobe change…  So here is the deal…. Mommy picked out this outfit for me, and she thinks it is the cutest… but daddy picked out an outfit for me too… I will have my photo shoot in it tomorrow…  then it is up to my adoring public to vote FOR THE FAVORITE…

Not that I am into REALITY TV, but HAVEN’T YOU EVER HEARD OF “Guillianna Idol”  ….   Here is Mommy’s Outfit… 

NOW DADDY’S OUTFIT IS  TOMORROW…. we will see… personally, Nana says I could make a potato sack look adorable… OUCH NANA… THAT WOULD BE LIKE BURLAP …. TALK ABOUT ITCHY… YUKKO!  While probaby true, let’s not find out… hey this could be fun though… I should let each person in this house dress me for a photo shoot, and since I would make them all adorable, it would probably be more fun to see if you could ID WHO DRESSED ME!   CAUSE LETS JUST FACE IT .. Dear Mom and Dad,

They drove straight through to get to me, and we are all together, and then we were  all sleeping…

Dad fell asleep first, and then me, Mom visited with Nana for a second, and sat down next to me, and we all are having the best dreams ever!

Thank you for all the prayers to bring them from Fort Hood safely to Camp Nana! 

REST UP MOM AND DAD, CAUSE IT IS GOING TO BE PARTY TIME THE WHOLE TIME WE ARE TOGETHER!

Thank you so much for coming so far and so fast to see me.   I am so glad you made the trip safely, and even more happy to be in your arms tonight!  I hope you are not too tired, because we have so much catching up to do….  and I will be awake soon and ready FOR KISSES AND HUGS…

And They ARE ON THE ROAD…

Dear Mom and Dad,

It is the first day of your’s and daddy’s block leave, from Fort Hood, and Mommy told Nana you had trouble getting everything ready to go, but now Nana says you are on your way to see me before you deploy, and all the car issues are better!  Be careful, watch for motorcycles, and deer when driving… (which is what NANA always tells all her kids)  She is like a broken record isn’t she… but we love her and keep her around anyway!  Besides she takes really cute pictures of me… even if they are too close.

Good news here, THE SNOW MELTED as fast as it came.   Better news, Nana says this is Michigan and who knows we could have sun and warmer weather by the time you arrive?   (OR NOT)… either way it doesn’t matter because we will be together….

I am feeling good.   I have another doctor appointment coming up, and Nana made it so we can all go and you can meet my MICHIGAN pediatrician for while I am at ‘CAMP NANA’.   Aunt Arrianna is off of school next week so she can visit with you too…   This is going to be a great week! 

Today I went and saw Nana’s friends at the post office… she visits there so much.   From when you were in Iraq the first time, and with Uncle Nick being in the South Pacific, they know her AND ME, the minute we walk in, and they always make Nana smile.  Today we sent Uncle Nick a care package, and when you deploy, they will help me send you care packages too! 

I ate really good today, oatmeal, and formula, and I have a feeling that my pediatrician will be very pleased with my progress.

I know you won’t be able to see me while driving on the road to your POG (pot of gold), but I will write you anyway, because Nana wants you to see me every single day! 

Tonight my Great Aunt Pam, well she came to visit me again, and Nana is so very appreciative that she did.  Let’s face it, Nana, is old, and yes, it may be true she is not as old as she looks, (i.e old enough to be Poppy’s mom) she is a bit lazy sometimes… and tonight, Aunt Pam brought over dinner for the family… and she stayed and made everything great.  THUS THE NAME GREAT AUNT PAM!   Camp Nana, is truly a TEAM EFFORT… lots of help from everyone… all my Aunts, Poppy, and all of the people who love Mommy… and are finally going to get to meet Daddy!   Even the people at the U.S. Post office … they help make things easier on Nana… (seems Nana has been sending things to the APO-AP addresses for several years for one kid or another… in a few months Uncle Nick will be back from his year long trip and then it will be you and Daddy we will be sending bundles to…Hope the post office isn’t sick of Nana and I yet!   WHO AM I KIDDING , WHO COULD GET SICK OF SEEING THIS FACE?

I love you both very much, and I hope all my friends reading will say their prayers that you and daddy drive up safely.   I know we are…
