It’s Oscar Night!

Dear Mom and Dad, it is Sunday and it is Oscar night, at eleven weeks I have opted to avoid the red carpet, and sit in the comfort of my easy chair… All my Aunts are so happy, because, they love seeing the pretty dresses, and all the stars, Nana says you know she never liked all that stuff,  she says it was one of your favorite things to watch, Nana knows she is so – ” not ” a fashion diva…. but I told her not to worry.  I am my own person and I choose  “GUILLIANNA STYLE”.    The aunts  however  – totally loved hanging out with me, and let’s face it, who wouldn’t.

Here I sit, waiting...So I have my own little princess thrown, like I told you, and me and all my peeps hung out a bit.   I know you remember Mr. Griff… and Justice and Liberty.   But I have not shown you how much they too adore me.   Mr. Griff , Justice and Libby, run to the first person they can find in the house if I so much as make a little sound.   They will not let my needs go unnoticed for a second.  If I start making noises Justice goes running to someone and he head butts them as if to say, “hey, she wants something”.   They go where ever I am, and they sit at my feet or somewhere near by.   Mr Griff who loves sitting on the couch will sit on the floor by my swing if I am in it.  He has a huge tongue and seriously would bathe me with it if they let him.  But they will not let him – trust me. It’s just that his tongue is bigger than my head!  Want to see my two of my buddies…

Mr Griff and Justice checking on me.  They really are good, and if I am in my car seat/stroller, Mr. Bauer (Unlce Nick’s cat, who is also being babysat at Camp Nana’s)rides in the basket below.  I have made a lot of new friends here, but make no mistake, they all understand, I AM THE PRINCESS AND THERE IS A NEW DIVA IN THIS  HOUSE!

Here are a few more photos of the day – I hope you like them, and remember, in a few more weeks, you will be here hanging with me too.  Dad will be home with you soon, and I hope he can make it a bit less lonely for you mom… I worry about you.  There is no need for you to worry about me getting lonely, Nana tells me stories about you everyday, she shows me the 8×10 black and white photos she has of you and as you know she even lets me hear your voice on the cell phone when it’s possible.  I have a lot of ‘loyal subjects’ here in Michigan, some with two legs and some with four…. but it is certain I will never be ‘alone’ or in need while living in this crazy zoo that is for sure.

Aren't I cute?So happy… and be sure that Arri and Pops are standing here, cause you know darn well they’d never let me sit in this thing alone, geez – Nana still cuts Arri’s meat for her! Rumor has it Nana can be slightly over protective.   I will let you know when I give her MY OWN REPORT CARD.  (but I can’t imagine she is at all overprotective, not that I would be biased or remotely aware of who butters my bread i.e. takes care of my butt… literally)  Maybe my final opinion on this should be expressed sometime after you return from your job….yeah, that’s what we will do.  Until then we will just say she is RESONABLY “cautious”.  (Ha ha)

Do I look happy or what?Well, I guess it’s bye for now, and just so you know – I ate so good today, and had no crying that wasn’t brought about by the changing of my onesie (which you know I don’t particularly like over my eyes).  I grunted a bit when it was time to eat but with everyone in the entire family home today, Nana had an extra 10 hands.   Bath time was awesome too… I had an audience, and every aunt was laughing while I smiled and played in the water.   Life in Michigan is going good Mom-(even though I do miss living at Ft. Hood with you), and I am doing better every day with my formula.   I miss you very, very much, and cannot wait to smell you, hear your voice and be held in your arms.  Until that moment, Nana and all the rest of my Michigan family help me get through.   Best of all, Dad will be there soon to help you!  He will hopefully make you laugh and smile, and when you smile… so do I.   Love always, little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Guillianna

Good Morning!

Good Morning Mom and Dad....Good morning Mom and Dad,

It is Saturday, and I just want you to know, that I am still an ARMY girl.  I wake up at about 4:30 am, in time for “bottle” formation, and right afterward I  follow it with PT where I get Nana to walk and “burp” me.  It is grueling excercise for an eleven weeker, but I do it.   I play with Nana, holding back the burps just long enough so that she will walk around the house several times and I can check out all the lights, and pictures on the wall.   This morning we watched the sunrise in the library.  It was really pretty, and Nana says you worked all night and the sunrise means you will be getting off work soon.   I hope you get some rest.  My favorite spot to sit and eat is on the chair or couch in the family room, I can look up and there is a HUGE black and white photo of you on the wall.  So technically I have breakfast with you every morning…

Speaking of breakfast… I must say, I have been on the new formula now since later Tuesday night, and I am really noticing less “bubbles” in my belly.   Things are definately better in that department.

I also want you to know that Nana made my cardiology appointment and has given the information to Tricare so they will authorize my referral.   Good news, it looks like she will be able to take me to see the senior pediatric cardiologist at Mott’s Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan.   That appointment is scheduled for Tuesday March 10th at 8:00 am in Ann Arbor.  I am going to have everything checked and Nana will ask them the questions you have about my heart.  If you want you can see his photo and all the information about him on line.    (Which Nana says she did with you already)

His name is Dr. Macdonald H. Dick     I also will see my pediatrician again when you are here visiting me, so you will get to meet him, and the three other female physicians in my pediatrician’s office.

So now to the extra good part of my love letter to you… the part about ME..

Did I mention, that little thing where Nana is always taking photos, well, you may be shocked but Pops has her hands down…. everytime he holds me, he says to Aunt Arri, “hey Arri, take a picture with my camera phone”.  Here is one he took most recently…

Cracking up!

I was having so much fun and just happy as could be.   He has an entire phone full of pictures of … ME.   I sent you my letter early today so you could read it before you go to sleep after your staff duty.   This way you will dream of my face, and me.   I love you and hope you and Dad are doing well.   Can’t wait to see you again,  love Little Miss Adorable, your daughter,

Guillianna

A DINNER DATE!

Dear Mom and Dad,

Today is Friday, and I have a dinner date with Great Papa Alan.   So I was getting ready, and put on my party pants and party shoes… look and see how I looked before we left…

Me and my Party Shoes

My little flare pants, and black party shoes…  and if they weren’t cute enough, I was then put into my Minnie Mouse shirt and Red Hoodie Heartbreaker sweater… I was sooooo cute.   I loved this look, see for yourself.

Going out me my peeps...My Close Up...

I was ready for some good Italian food… or maybe just some formula at a nice Italian restaurant.  Me and the gang… and after all that preparation… I slept… the entire time, I slept…. not a single peep out of me… until it was time to leave… Great Papa let Nana take some photos of us together you can see them below… even sleeping… I look awesome.

Great Papa and Me... Going out Italian Style...

He bent down cause I was a little busy catching some “zzzzz’s” and pretty much, my party shoes and I missed the party… but when it was time to go… I changed my little princess mind and decided it was time to eat… so I did just that.

Generations...So me – and my papa’s  we hung  out for a bit, holding hands, and munching on my favorite meal.  A generational meeting of awesome guys and an even more awesome princess… (note to self, princess’ look good in red)  I’d would have held hands all night long… I could get used to this whole being adored thing really easily…. after all it is nice to have people think you’re special  – and let me tell you… do they make me feel special.   Don’t worry though, I won’t let it go to my head, and act spoiled or anything…I would not ever let myself get SPOILED … YET HAVE BEEN TOLD… what happens at Nana’s  STAYS AT NANA’S  so if they do try to spoil me…. or force me to be treated like a princess… my lips are sealed…

Mom, your grandpa – and mine were awesome, and I was lucky to spend time with two men who spent so much time with you while you were growing up.   You can tell how much they care about you, because when they look at me, it shows in their eyes.   They hope you will be happy and that you and I will be together again soon.  I COUNT THE DAYS!  Nana makes me count  – thinks it helps me learn,  and she is always singing that alphabet song… someone should really tell her, I am only TEN WEEKS old…. geez…. even a princess needs time off from her social training…

They also keep telling everyone how much you love me, and how much you are sacrificing this past week and in the upcoming weeks so that we can live happily ever after in the months and years to come…  DID I MENTION THAT I TRULY DO APPRECIATE YOU… and I know… as cute as I am,  it must be hard every day… BUT WITH YOUR LOVE, AND COURAGE WE CAN DO ANYTHING …. RIGHT?   We can do this, and my love letters to you are each and every one –  hugs and kisses  – being sent to you each chance I get… when you finish reading them at the end of a day, or before you go off to work you will feel like I do when you hold me.   I feel safe, like everything will be okay, and I feel like we can do anything because when someone is looking out for you, and making your world the best it can be, even if it hurts them to do it, it makes the person you do it for realize just how lucky they are.  SO I FEEL LUCKY…. AND I HAD A GREAT TIME TONIGHT and once again, I want to tell you… I love you with all my heart.

Before I go to bed I have one last photo of me … please know I miss you and love you very much, AND WILL ALWAYS BE your little princess, Guillianna.

Nite Mom

I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH AND HOPE YOU ENJOY THE PHOTOS FROM TODAY!   I was my usual adorable self and enjoyed the day.  NO FEVER, AND AM FINALLY FEELING PRETTY DARN GOOD WITH THE NEW FORMULA…

I will send you more love letters soon…. Love Little Miss Adorable, your daughter Guillianna

Tonight Great Aunt Pam Visits Me

Napping on Thursday Dear Mom & Dad,  it is almost the end of the first week at Camp.   I have been so good from Grandpa and Nana, and have loved being a princess here.

Tonight your Aunt Pam is coming out to see me!   She says she  has always loved you, and is one of your greatest fans.   She is proud of the work you have been doing and all of your accomplishments.  Since I am your absolutely greatest accomplishment ever… than I guess she is proud of me too…

Tonight Aunt Pam drove so far to see me.   She came and she fed me, and bathed me, and we had so much fun, because she also has that same problem Nana has, where she just cannot stop kissing my adorable little cheeks, and holding me close!   Not really a problem at all for me, I am loving it… She also gave me my very first Valentines Day card.   One that I can keep for my memory box.   She says, it is the first of many I will recieve because it is usual for a princess to have many of these… we will see.   I will treasure hers to me as the first though.  She also came bearing gifts… in the next size up for me, which is totally awesome, because while this may shock you… a princess can never have enough pink .  Am I right?   Yep… I think I am…

Nana says she has a rule she used to make you and all the kids of your family do…. if someone does something nice, you used to have to hand make a “thank you” note… and here is mine to Aunt Pam-

Dear Aunt Pam,

You are totally awesome, and I love that you made me feel so good.  Thank you for always being there for my Nana… she is so lucky to have your help and your love.    I think I am really lucky too.

Love Your Great (as in awesome) Niece, Guillianna

Tah Dah… my first thank you note!   Do you remember having to make notes like this mom?   Hard for me to believe Nana could ever be a “nag” or anything like that… but it seems that everyone here in this house remembers the “handmade thank you note thing”.

I have made you a music video of my first week at camp…. I hope you like it … what am I saying, ITS ALL ABOUT ME, what’s not to like!  Just click on the link below… and you will be ready to go.
